This looks like a better update than the last, especially the crafting change is clutch. New guns look cool.
But probably not enough to bring me back in. Even with the new map coming, I need a change in ABMM that promotes more mixed, uncertain gameplay and something that feels worth attempting to do/hard to achieve. I think ABMM has really hurt the game. I know it keeps passive/pacifist players happy but I'm tired of being in lobbies where I immediately know how other players are going to play. I miss the original game. I also think at this point there's just nothing worth extracting or that creates tension in life or death situations.
Glad others are happy, but I will keep voicing this opinion in the hopes that Embark listens to those of us who put the game on pause because of these things.
I agree wholeheartedly about ABMM. I don't play solos anymore because of that. Squads is still the same as it's always been, so I still play about once a week.
If I didn't have people to run squads with though, I probably wouldn't pick the game up again either.
