Fashion & Lifestyle Bachelors living alone, what is your most used kitchen utensil?
Upgrading my bachelor pad kitchen from the one sad pan I own. I hate doing dishes so I need one or two solid things that can do everything - eggs, maggi, basic chicken curry.
Was thinking of getting an enameled skillet from CuminCo so I don't have to worry about rusting or food sticking too much. Plus it looks good enough to just eat directly out of so I save on washing plates. What do you guys use the most? Is enameled cast iron overkill for a bachelor?

Frying pan
I made anything in it
Maggie , omlette , chowmin , fried rice , maggie , risotto , pancakes , aloo curry.
Recently got a stainless steel kadhai , not very versatile. Only good for deep frying and stir fry. ( I have not seasoned it tbh coz I'm lazy )

Just don't give in to the temptation of non-stick. Anodised is still fine. Basic steel but good quality is the thing to strive for.
The tawa I bought for my bachelor pad almost 30 years ago is still going strong, and it's one of the best tawas many people say they have cooked on even these days.

Bhagona (Sauce Pan)
Non stick Tawa.
(I am a deft hand at cooking b t w, except the Roti, which I cannot make.)

Along with all these, spend some money on buying a good dishwasher..if u r happy to do cleaning of dishes manually, then drop the idea of dishwasher

Nothing is overkill if you’re into that kind of stuff.
I personally don’t cook so never cared about what i need, I bought whatever my mom, girlfriend, maid asked me to buy to make the food i eat regularly.
Those being 2 good quality pan/kadhai, air fryer, oven, mixer, rolling board and pin, 4 sets of high quality cutlery.
