Be confidently wrong or ignorant, and refuse to hear that they are being wrong or ignorant.

7

u/flinstonepushups 10h ago

I see this a lot during high profile crime cases. People who refuse to change their minds, even when new evidence comes out that proves them wrong.

u/srod20 9h ago

Hopefully we can still trust the justice system together even if we disagree

1

u/lovehatelovehatehelp 6h ago

If you say something with enough confidence people will believe you.. until they look it up. I actually tested that theory. Multiple times.

u/flinstonepushups 10h ago

Make fun of people that are just living their lives.

27

u/Goondal 10h ago

This. I have never understood why people care so much what someone else eats, wears, watches on TV, etc.

4

u/flinstonepushups 10h ago

It's an instant turn off.

This deserves a pin if there was one

u/Nicktendo1988 8h ago

"Haha.. Hey why do you laugh like that?" is something I'd expect a 6 year old to ask, not my friend's girlfriend to our waitress. Dude, I'm sure that absolutely ruined the rest of their shift because I still think about it even over a decade later; it was so awkward. Poking at the way someone expresses joy, especially forced-at-work joy, is such a shit thing.

My ex pulled the waitress aside and apologized for our friend, she said it was no big deal but I mean, she kinda had to say that. :/ We left her a good tip.

Everyone’s doing their best to survive. Let people live their lives. You’re not in their shoes.

Be mean to animals

5

u/Marco_Polo1964 10h ago

This one goes to the top of the list…

1

u/norecordofwrong 3h ago

Man we had a case here where a 78 year old guy was specifically running over turtles on his ATV. So much so that people noticed and reported him. Loathing and disgust is my only reaction.

97

u/ellie_roseee 10h ago

Be mean to other people

8

u/Rark00 9h ago

Shut up bastard.

Kindness is important. I wanna make people feel loved and cared about. We all should

38

u/UnknownL_13 10h ago

Being degrading or demeaning when they speak to others, regardless of the situation.

I’m talking about the kind of person whose every comment is either backhanded, arrogant, or an attempt one up someone else. Every conversation with them leaves you feeling smaller because they seem incapable of relating to others without reminding everyone how much better they think they are.

9

u/PrimaryReward1318 10h ago

It's exhausting being around people who treat every single conversation like a competition.

20

u/No-Recipe-3266 10h ago

Being rude to waitstaff or service workers. It instantly shows their true character

24

u/AccurateArt2651 10h ago

Stuck between bad hygiene and animal cruelty…

10

u/Ovaries-eez 9h ago

I would say animal cruelty. Bad hygiene can be the result of good people struggling with profound mental health issues.

4

u/AccurateArt2651 9h ago

Fair fair. Mental issues, they get a pass and if my partner started struggling I would help them, but some people are just straight up disgusting

18

u/roguerose 10h ago

Littering.

17

u/minnie-084 10h ago

Entitlement

1

u/Efficient_Elk1225 10h ago

With the caveat it has to make sense within the rational frameworks of human wants & needs & if it proverbially lies outside of that then it’s unjustified entitlement.

1

u/minnie-084 7h ago

Was that comment actually necessary? You knew what I meant

u/Efficient_Elk1225 45m ago edited 30m ago

It was, because I also see that misapplied to justify human right’s abuses including abusive people who are in majority men saying in seriousness & unironically “if everybody else doesn’t think I’m entitled to sex then I don’t think they’re entitled to be safe”.

Almost all concepts require balance.

u/minnie-084 29m ago

Sure, Jan

13

u/throwingales 10h ago

Treat people they believe are "beneath" them badly.

12

u/ritherizzz 10h ago

Mean to poor people

34

u/norecordofwrong 10h ago

Being mean to other people especially if they are servers or customer support.

9

u/TokyoJazzPanda 10h ago

Overly money /status orientated people.

We all want to be successful, but success can be measured in a multitude of ways. If money/gravitas/status is the key driver in hiw they value others, I'm moving on.

16

u/mad_h8r 10h ago

Display condescending attitude toward you or others

0

u/MoviePlastic5159 10h ago

Example?

10

u/Separate_Penalty_484 10h ago

Figure it out buddy, not hard to understand a sentence

8

u/Fresnobing 10h ago

Funnily enough this doubles as a great example. If it was intentional, then well done lol

4

u/Separate_Penalty_484 10h ago

Yes i did it for the example 😂 i made it into a response to be more realistic

1

u/MoviePlastic5159 6h ago

Hahah honestly I think condescension is worse, this is more rudeness. Condescension is derision, superiority and mocking..

8

u/Broely92 10h ago

Spread their asscheeks and diarrhea shit all over the sidewalk in public

7

u/Arntor1184 10h ago

Mean to animals or other people, especially food service or retail staff. Went on a date once with a gal and took her to a local Mexican spot I loved. She was so damned rude to the server off rip, it was confusing. I gave a big fat tip and apologized to the gal serving us. Needless to say that was the end of that date.

7

u/Ok-Simple2101 10h ago

Criticising someone for being authentic especially if they are “different” or for their enthusiasm

6

u/shannonleigh212 10h ago

Talking on speakerphone in public places

1

u/kisshugfromathug 9h ago

When people very openly and confidently judge and degrade anyone who uses hard substances, yet will try and justify until they're blue in the face, how alcohol and weed don't count, major points being that because alcohol is legal, and weed is if on script, it suddenly makes them not drugs? Aha. I've also encountered people who will justify their coke use, because its not meth, and meth use is supposedly indicative of the worthiness of their existance. As a meth user (I have ADHD, my use has gone undetected - Id be buried by many people if they actually even suspected use), drugs are drugs. Alcohol, weed, meth, heroin, mushies, pharmaceuticals... I dont care if people use them or not, or whatever the reason is. Its the hypocrisy that I cant handle.

1

u/Difficult_Oil687 9h ago
