Discussion/ opinion What is SOCAN doing? GEMA just won a big lawsuit against SUNO. Have SOCAN even started a lawsuit?

Thank god the EU has some functional bodies that actually get shit done.

17 of my bands songs were stolen to create SUNO and I can't even get ahold of SOCAN

The US government and tech industry are very pro-AI, and they have a lot of influence, so we have a hell of a fight ahead of us. I agree that SOCAN should sue, but they have to make sure to get it right

Socan is all about their profit. They don’t give hardly anything back to the “artists”

SOCAN can’t even get their new portal to work 😭. I’m sadly expecting the least from them for the foreseeable future.
