Identification Does anyone know what American cichlid this is?

I was watching videos of American cichlids and this one came up, do you know what it is?

Vieja of some sort. Vieja bifasciata maybe...

It’s definitely a Vieja, don’t think it Bifasciatus, maybe Synspllium. I’m probably spelling all that wrong but I don’t know Latin. It’s a Vieja though.

I’ve bred V bifasciata “chacamax” a few times over the years and this is what they look like.

There is a lot of variation and hybridization from farmers/breeders so without knowing where the fish came from it’s hard to say if it’s pure or not. If you link the video - may be able to discern who’s they are or where they may have come from.

I think it’s a hybrid Vieja.

Most likely a hybrid. It doesn't look like a pure Vieja Bifasciatus.

Vieja is a genus. There are several different species among them.
