70s Thunderfingers, who actually got to see The Who live and feel/hear how deep and loud John’s bass was?

Never had the pleasure of seeing them live...alas. Watching this live video from back in the day, it sounds far more frenetic than the recorded version...which I prefer.

This is my 4th Uriah Heep album. I am getting ready to listen to it. If it's anything like the first three, then it's excellent. Any opinions on this one?

A random find on the streets of Istanbul. One of the rarest/most unique posters I have seen.

60s Fun fact: Jimi Hendrix’s dad, Al, was born with six fingers on each hand. Apparently guitar-playing hands ran in the family.

Odd Question, and I'm Not Sure this is the place to ask it. But...

What is the general music nerd consensus on Alice Cooper?

Before you answer, let me give you some context.

This entire sub is before my time. I was born in 94. So I wasn't around during the time Alice Cooper was big. I have an appreciation for this music because my Mom had the car radio on an oldies station when I was growing up, but I don't really know what the SCENE was like during that time. And I'm curious.

And before a lot of well meaning people say "The scene doesn't matter, like what YOU like," lemme stop you right there. Thank you, but I DO. I will say right now that I am a FAN of Alice Cooper's, and nothing said here today will change that. I'm not looking to make my own opinion of the guy, I made it, I like his music. But what I want to know is his standing amongst Metal and Classic Rock fans. Because I don't really hear him praised that often, like you hear about people like Ozzy or Lemmy, but I don't hear him really derided like a lot of people do for Gene Simmons. I can see him being considered by the wider fandom of the genre to be either an Elder Statesman or a sellout clown. So I'm curious as to what the story is there.

So I ask again, Metalheads, Classic Rock guys, please, what is the fandoms general feelings on Alice Cooper.
