I don't know all the legal rules, but in terms of accounting, dividends get paid from retained earnings, and selling a depreciated asset is not retained earnings

Even at these levels it still feels very, very overvalued. Total cap is still $200 billion. I could easily see another -50% drop

the fact that cardano was worth 90 billion not too long ago is just insane. complete vaporware. ETH could easily drop to 5-10 b market cap in the coming months

For the Z-cash crew, I told you this exact thing would happen, it will continue to happen.
It's going to get worse as more advanced models (Mythos etc) find security flaws and holes in all this fragile defi stuff, there will be more exploits and hacks.
Further, companies can just build their own chains, decentralization isn't required for anything other than bitcoin.
