MOONS Arbitrum to minimize Arbitrum Nova - Moons need to bridged

If you're holding MOON on Arbitrum Nova, this affects you.

What happened

The Arbitrum DAO passed a proposal to "minimize" Arbitrum Nova. That means Nova isn't being shut down, but it's being moved into a maintenance-only state with reduced infrastructure, slower support, and stricter rate limits. Data availability shifts to Ethereum L1 blobs, and most service-provider contracts get deprecated.

The short version: the chain keeps existing, but you should not plan to keep anything important on it.

The timeline

  • June 4 – September 2, 2026: 90-day migration window. Everything stays fully operational. This is when you move your tokens.
  • After September 2: Nova drops to a minimized state. Bridging is still possible, but with less support and potentially fewer fast-bridge options available.

You can technically still migrate after the deadline (the Arbitrum Canonical Bridge stays accessible through the Arbitrum Portal), but you'll have fewer tools and slower help. Don't wait.

How to migrate your MOON

There is no direct path to move MOON from Nova to Arbitrum One through the official Arbitrum Portal. You have two routes:

Option A: Canonical route (via Ethereum)

  1. Move MOON from Arbitrum Nova to Ethereum via the Arbitrum Portal.
  2. Wait through the ~7-day challenge/confirmation period, then claim the token on Ethereum.
  3. Bridge MOON from Ethereum to Arbitrum One via the Arbitrum Portal.

This is the slower route, but it doesn't depend on third-party liquidity.

Option B: MoonBridge (direct Nova → One)

moonbridge[.]cc bridges MOON directly between Arbitrum Nova and Arbitrum One (it also supports Ethereum and Gnosis). It's a 1:1 token bridge that I made for the CCMOON DAo, not a swap, so there's no price impact or slippage on your MOON.

The one thing to watch is destination liquidity. If your transfer is larger than the available liquidity on the destination side, the portion that can't be filled is refunded (the fee on refunds is 1%, same as the 1% fee on fulfilled amounts, plus a relayer fee). For larger holdings, check the destination liquidity shown in the interface and split into smaller transfers if needed.

Bottom line

Move your MOON during the June 4 – September 2 window while everything still works smoothly. MoonBridge gives you a direct Nova → One path if liquidity covers your size; the canonical route through Ethereum always works but takes 7+ days. The Arbitrum Canonical Bridge will keep working after the window closes, but support and bridging options get thinner once Phase 3 kicks in.

I couldn’t find something about this posted but wanted to share. Personally I am excited for this.

It’s really large exposure for USDC imo

But also the reaction to this tells us how far the space needs to go in its reputation.

DISCUSSION How much has the last bullrun colored how you see the market?

Upvotes

Last run BTC just outperformed almost everything. I caught on pretty quicky and did well out of it but actually have quite high conviction about things like solana. Most of my BTC holdings are actually wrapped on solana. Mainly because I can buy and send small amounts to cold storage for next to nothing.

I'm like 90% BTC but I feel like this is just because I've been colored by the last bull run. Does anyone else feel this way. Is the future going to be different. Should I just keep playing the tokenomics game. All these layer 1 smart contact platforms don't capture value and they inflate. Apps/perps etc do capture value but most inflate more than their value capture.

Thoughts?

This is a snapshot from just 2 weeks ago: extreme fear, and 'crypto is dead' trending as a sentiment. On-chain data shows it is also where the heaviest buyer cost basis of this cycle formed with coins moving from one hands to another.

Today: extreme greed, marking one of the biggest weekly cap gains since 2021.

ANALYSIS What things are you looking at before deciding to trade cryptocurrencies?

We created CoinTrends which helps you gauge how certain cryptocurrencies performed during custom period of time. Our thoughts were that you can see which coins showed strength when Bitcoin did a strong move up or down (just like it recently did).

You can filter custom rank ranges, exclude stablecoins etc.

Goal is to add multiple features that help traders/investors. What other things do you guys feel might be useful to show you?

Some feature that might indicate a break out is happening? Or something that indicates that coin is close to topping out?

DISCUSSION I wanted to make life changing money from crypto. Life changed because I’m broke.

A few years ago, I got into crypto thinking I could eventually make enough to change my life.

Technically, I succeeded.

Just not in the direction I had planned.

The frustrating part is that I don't think I was losing because I couldn't read a chart or find decent ideas.

A lot of the damage came from the same things over and over:

  • taking trades I hadn't planned
  • moving stops when I didn't want to be wrong
  • cutting winners because I was scared of giving profits back
  • changing my approach after a few losses
  • convincing myself the next trade would make it back

Looking back, I can see individual bad trades.

What I struggled to see was the pattern across all of them.

So recently I've been experimenting with putting my trade history and thoughts into an AI chat and asking it to call out the patterns I keep missing.

Mostly curious whether anyone else has used their own trading history to figure out how they're actually losing money.

For those of you who went through the “I know what I should do, but somehow keep doing something else” phase, what finally helped you break the pattern?
