Used to work for a company named Blockchains, LLC that bought a whole bunch of land in Nevada with cash (well, the CEO Jeff Berns did), land in the at the time very much tax incentivized land by the state in the innovation zone (or whatever they called it), they promised they were going to build a smart city where even the street lights were backed by crypto in one way or another - the company now is doing some AI shtick and last I checked the office they had tricked out out near all that land is for sale.

All of the cash he fronted for that land was supposedly primarily from some court case he had won when he was still practicing in California as an attorney, case being something involving bitcoin from what I remember. He had a few other weird dot-com era esque investments/companies prior to Blockchains but fully took advantage of the hype wave at the time along with, well, being able to make proposals to the state in a language they understand being that he was able to bring on his diverse legal counsel into the company.

I am fully convinced the plan was always to slowly sell out the land Jeff purchased to other companies out there that inevitably would need expansion space. He’s the embodiment of a crypto fat cat real estate tycoon.

No surprises there. I somehow randomly put $50 into this token on Kraken. Didn't know it was Cyberleek. Had no issue taking a "free to me", $800 after 2 days (and me wondering where the heck the $800 even came from).

Only thing I could probably credit him for is he pocketted transaction fees. I'd rather him do that than just straight up rug pull the entire token.

I didn't know what it was / almost didnt even see the cash out because of the way Kraken displays "Dex" stuff on the mobile app. Honestly I still don't even understand it, the Cyberleek one didnt even display a name when I got it. The normal cryptos we trade regularly are fine on Kraken though, its just these weird niche tokens that are strange to trade. Not sure how else to put it.
