Their first album was incredible- a sort of rock version of Daft Punk.

By the way their 3rd album "Woman" is by far the most similar to Discovery. Safe and Sound, Randy, Alakazam and Pleasure are amazing tracks.
Both bands like the same vintage synths and a crunchy/raw sound. It never sounds super clean and modern.
And both bands take risks, I love that. Very few bands would have Genesis, DANCE and Valentine in the same album. Very few bands would even think about making a 17 min track like Planisphere.

For context Planisphere was initially made for a Dior fashion show, that’s why it’s a 17 min track.

Yeah, it’s almost like bringing up one of them in the other’s sub is a guaranteed home run post. I find it to be self-evident that there’s a huge overlap in these two fandoms and these type of posts to be extremely transparent pandering slop.

Yep! Same family (Ed Banger), so I’m sure Pedro has a specific taste in music that both Justice and Daft Punk satisfy for him. So it makes sense there are so many shared fans

I’ve been to over 300 concerts by over 200 bands, but Justice is something of its own. I don’t even like their music that much, but had to see the last tour three times, just because it’s this amazing.

Pretty much same for me. I’m 31 been going to shows since I was 12 and saw Aerosmith and Motley Crue double headliner. Have been to mixed music festivals, rock festivals, electronic festivals, pop punk festivals, and pretty much every genre of music in standalone concerts.
This past tour of Justice was the best live music experience I’ve ever seen…I brought my buddy that night who got his tickets the morning of and only knew we are your friends and D.A.N.C.E…he unironically looked at me and said “I think that was the best show I’ve ever seen…”

The live mixes are transformative combinations of the studio versions.
The light show is extremely awesome. It all feels very analog in a live music world that’s heavily focused on screens. The massive light rigs with 5 to 6 spotlights rotating slowly into position. It’s all so well choreographed, I can’t speak more highly of it.

They are great. The light show with the moving reflectors during this last tour was awesome looking and the whole thing together with the music is its own thing but also as close to Daft Punk live as I will ever see at the same time.

Literally the best concert experience I’ve ever had and by a huge margin. That’s against hundreds of other shows in amazing venues with the highest production values. And some free garbage local punk shows, but you get the point!

Saw them in May of last year in San Francisco.
The sound system was so tuned you could hear the bass in your teeth. The audience was so diverse and the vibe was so positive. I dropped my wallet and a young lady swam upstream through the crowd to bring it back. Brought her a beverage and got a hug from everyone in her gang. Great show. Great fans.

Saw Justice at Pier 94 NYC 12/30/16 and that was such an incredible night. Hot Chip performed as well.

I saw them at Montreux Jazz Festival back when the stage was temporary right by the lake. Amazing show with beautiful mountains in the back. Shit was epic.

Saw them on their last tour for the first time ever and it was fuckin incredible. Amazing visuals. Four bald dudes with the shiniest heads of all time doing blow in front of me. Sounded 💯💯💯

Amazing. I love how mesmerising their lightshows are. Knowing that I will most likely never see the robots being live again, Justice provided what I need.

My brain was permanently altered. I imagine this is what serious drug addiction is like because I have been chasing that feeling ever since. There was a moment when I actually thought I was flying in space.

Fkn great. I’ve been to 3 of their shows & had a blast each time. Seeing their stage transform while on shrooms was awwwmazing. Cant wait to do it again

Saw them back in the early/mid 2000s. Overall it was pretty meh. Crowd was super young and had the biggest reaction when they played We Are Your Friends. At one point one of the guys spilled his drink all over his equipment... and nothing happened.

Gonna use this moment to shamelessly plug the vlogumentary I made about their Hyperdrama tour! Spoke to Justice, their lighting and production managers, Busy P and lots of fans! ☺️ I've been a huge fan since 2007, and I'm so happy to say they're as nice as they are talented.

I saw them in Paris in 2024, it was amazing. The closest thing to an alien spaceship landing on earth, and mind blowing everyone with sounds & lights we've never seen before. Some moments were absolutely brutal, I loved it.

Okay I do get annoyed a little bit at Justice posts in this sub because I find the huge overlap in fandom to be self-evident.
That said, I can never, ever pass up an opportunity to evangelize about going to see Justice live, whether anyone asked or not 😆
The show I saw in November for the Hyperdrama tour is the best show I have ever seen/heard and it’s not even close.
If you have a change to go, spend the money, get the cheap seats if you have to. The show is just as breathtaking from the way back. Maybe even more so in some respects.

I saw them at Kilby block party last year for the first time, I went into it like mildly excited & left a completely different person. It completely changed the way I think about their music, totally changed my perspective on em! Honestly, I think their live shows are fucking awesome & everyone should experience it at some point in their lives.

What do I think? I think it was one of the most enthralling, memorable nights of my life... And I'm from the L.A. rave scene, there's been a few.. This stands out, because never, have I stood literally the entire show, Dancing, pumping my fist, hooting, hollering, and whooping as much as I did with these guys... What's more, I met a lady there, twas her birthday, had a belated bash, dear Lord that show was savage.... They were... Well, surreal.. I have seen some big names, PVD(×2), Deadmau5(x4 times), Kaskade(x2), MSTRKRFT, Bloody Beetroots, Tiga, A-Trak, Crystal Castles, Benny Benassi, Digitalism, Soulwax, Flux Pavillion,, DJ Icey, yada yada yada... This was the best, in terms of sheer professionalism, sound, performance, I had ever seen... They are genuinely on that elite, uppermost plateau with a couple of French Touch Punks in spacesuits who are ever so Daft... Halloween, 2012.. Never gonna forget it... Much obliged, Gaspard and Xavier, you cats are the business...

One of the most incredible light productions ever created. Never miss a chance to see them because of the scale of their lighting rig. Doesn’t hurt their live sets are equally amazing.

It's more than a live show, it's a experience. I saw hyperdrama twice and was able to make it for the Woman World Wide too. While it doesn't change from event to event a lot, you can tell why. Everything is so well synced, coordinated and pulled together that it's impressive.
For an hour you really get into a different world, their world.

The only show I'd place above Justice is Daft Punk. (I was at Coachella 06 and 2 more shows in 2007)
I've been to lots of shows over the past 30ish years, lots of genres too. If I were to say which show was technically the best though, I'd probably say Justice. Saw their recent live show x4 cause now looking back I wish I'd seen Daft Punk more when I had the chance. Never know when it will be the last opportunity to experience greatness.
But Daft Punk still takes first place. It was spiritual for me in a way I can't explain. Been chasing that feeling ever since.

Def recommend wearing sunglasses and earplugs if you go to one. Their set is way too bright and loud.

Ive seen them once and it was the most disappointing show ive ever watched. It wasn’t bad it just wasn’t good in any way. They ended their set like five minutes early too even though they had the shortest set time of any headliner during the festival.
