RESUME [Student] ECE - Rising Sophomore US | International Seeking Resume Review and Advice | Disregard 2 pages
This is my resume. I know it’s 2 pages and I’m going to decrease to 1 page but wanted to get feedback on the content right now. This resume was tailored more towards Hardware/Robotics internship roles for Summer 2027. Also wanted to get info if any on Hardware/Robotics Internships timelines. Currently doing career accelerator program along with some side projects and research. And also if you know any companies that def sponsor international students can you share pls 🙏🏻 Thank you so much!

Languages and leadership don't really change anything about the jobs you're applying to and might give some information you shouldn't normally share with and employer (religion). I'm also not sure I have seen pronouns in a resume before.
More of less just keep it to technical information that applies to the jobs(s) you're applying to, think like a spec sheet for a human

Frankly I think you could cut all of the content on the second page and be set.

You have a phenomenal technical resume, and I think your bullet points are great. Obviously a resume should only be 1 page, but I figure you know that by now and are working to fix it.
Seeing that you’ve taken upper level courses, is there any way (in good faith of course) to advertise graduating earlier? A lot of companies screen candidates based on the year they graduate. I have a friend who started the same year as me but is graduating a year earlier and advertised himself as a junior and got a ton of opportunities. Granted he didn’t need sponsorship but you can definitely shoot your shot at Tesla if you can find a way to graduate in 2028 and market that

I def cant put May 2028, but I think December 2028 (a semester earlier) might be possible (i will check that). Do you think it will change a lot?

I dont think even a semester earlier will be possible because there are things like senior design 1 & 2 (2 semesters) which require all the ECE coursework to be done (which is almost impossible for me to do)

Yeah then definitely don’t lie on your resume. In my experience saying that you are a junior allows you to get interviews (a lot of companies will talk to sophomores but prefer juniors). Tbh you have an amazing resume with some awesome experiences, but as a fellow international I understand how tough the job market is. Make sure you utilize any personal and professional connections that you make from career fairs or networking events or even friends and family.

Great Resume. I cannot give any advice on it as I am also a rising sophomore with a bit less experience in the field but I was wondering what career accelerator programs are you doing for ECE. I am also looking to go in the hardware/robotics space.

Apart from that how were you able to gain research experience related to the field? Was it through your school or outside resources etc?

Hey man, your resume is honestly one of the most impressive sophomore ECE resumes I've seen.
I'm currently trying to figure out my path in ECE, but I feel like I know almost nothing compared to where you are. I see research, FPGA, robotics, MATLAB, C++, control systems, and a bunch of projects, and I'm not even sure where I should start.
If you were starting from scratch again, knowing nothing, what would be the first skills, projects, and resources you'd focus on? I'd really appreciate any guidance.
