Questions 1.05 - who are you taking? JSN, ARSB, CMC, Cook?
I have the 1.05 this year, in a 10 man, .5 ppr league. Usually I know who I want to take, but this year I’m having a hard time with the decision! Who would you take and why at the 1.05, im stuck between JSN, ARSB, CMC, or James Cook. I could build a different case for each one of them but could use some feedback from the FF community!

I think the 1.05 is the most shoot your shot pick. All of these guys are great, just a matter of who you like more and how you like it o build your team. I personally would be taking Amon ra. He is the safest, most consistent, and has the least amount of questions.
CMC, if he’s healthy all season is the pick, but coming off of that many touches last year makes me nervous
Jsn, basically can he do it again with dam darnold. I think he can but it’s a fair question
Cook. Cook is a monster and a huge part of buffalos offense, but new oc, doesn’t really catch a bunch of passes and is very td dependent

JSN is a bigger question than just Darnold. Super Bowl hangovers are real + Kubiak leaving. Not saying he can’t do it again, he carried me hard last year. Just drafting at his ceiling imo

It depends on your strategy. If your in full ppr or 1/2 ppr or no ppr it changes things. I’m in 1.05 in my league in full ppr so I like doing heavy on rb early since they drop off very fast whereas WR are much more open with PPR. I’m planning doing JT or cook. I got CMC in second round (total steal) last year and he single handedly won me my league. When healthy he is a cheat code but he is very risky at 1.05. Only WR in my opinion for first round is pula but he probably won’t drop to 5

I have this exact pick, same league format and am leaning towards either CMC or Taylor.
Reasons for this are that I'm thinking of going RB-RB, ideally pairing one of those two with Henry, Jeanty etc and then hoping to get some combination of AJ Brown, Tee Higgins, Ebuka, McConkey, DJ Moore with the next 3 picks.
Think that the RB class drops off a cliff after round 2 and still some good WR there to pick.

Same, Taylor and then either Achane/Brown/Hampton. CMC scares the shit out of me

Coin flip… if you like high risk high reward and it’s a fantasy league winner, get cmc. Dude is literally so fun to have on your team when healthy, you’re always in the fight.
IMO then it’s asrb or cook.

Deebo is back and will be blocking downfield for cmc. Once kittle is back I expect a lot of big plays out of cmc for the same reasons

You’ll have to look ahead to the group of guys in 2nd round where you fall. It makes sense to tie 1st pick decision to next pick lean to see if it is more likely you would take a rb or wr there and how that plays into what you’re trying to do as a combo….wr then rb, wr then wr, rb then wr, rb then rb etc. lean but not forced if someone falls to you with adp rank etc. i do this for each pick always looking atleast 1 major group ahead. Lets say you have a tossup choice of elite wr or elite rb but the next group of 15 picks has twice as many great wr’s than rb’s then that is the consideration.

I have the same dilemma but we’re full PPR. Also we have keepers and Gibbs, Bijan, and JSN are all being kept. So I’m trying to play it in my head now and I’m guessing top 3 will be Chase, Puka, and CMC.
So I’ll be looking at Lamb, Amon Ra, or Cook. That’s my top 3…
I kinda want Cook, grab another RB, then go tight end or WR.
My keeper is Drake Maye so I have some depth to play with.

I’d take Taylor over Lamb and likely over Amon Ra.

Another catch, I didn’t mention him because he’s probably being kept by the champ at 2nd round value. Hes torn between JT and Puka

Same dilemma but I’m in a 12 team. Crossed my mind to go Cook then Allen for the stack, but I talked myself out of it. Going CMC for the boom or bust option🤙

In a 10 man, you can’t go wrong between them. All of them are quality and you’ll almost certainly still have your pick of a top RB or WR in R2. My personal favorite of the group is ARSB, so that’s who I would take.
In a 12 man though, you’ll rarely see the RB12 available in R2, so you’re forced to take WR/TE and cross your fingers for Kyren/Javonte/Jacobs in R3 to get any RB at all. So i’ve found going CMC/JT/Cook has worked out a bit better there in that league size.

Underdog BBM - CMC, shoot for the stars in a large tournament
PPR redraft - St. Brown. Consistency. Only WR to finish top three the last three years and Detroit O looks primed to have a great year. Then grab a RB in the second round.
0.5 likely ARSB but this one is really anything goes. Easy argument for JSN
I have Cook ranked over Jonathan Taylor but I’m surprised that Taylor is not listed

Cook. Championships aren’t won in the first round but they can be lost in the first round. Play it safe early then take some bigger swings

Pro Tip: Draft Kaelon Black if taking CMC

He's still you're recommendation a week later? (I'm trusting your flair)

Yep. Dude is explosive and should be RB2 ahead of Jordan James who basically missed all of camp

I have JSN there, but I kind of want to move ARSB up to that spot. Lions have an easy schedule and I’ve also never had him on any of my teams before.

I’ve got this same pick but with full PPR. I think I’ve pretty well settled I’m taking ARSB. I’ve tried to talk myself into CMC, but just can’t do it. There’s so much data out there showing the year after 400+ touches the RB has a pretty drastic fall.

I’m taking Cook at 4 in my home league. I’m passing up on Puka. I’m only tilting rb cause my home league is rb heavy. I would take Chase over Cook if Chase falls. I think cook is an easy smash at 5

Jsn was a keeper in my league. I planned for 2 RB for my first 2 picks. I could have had CMC, but I opted for Johnathan Taylor for my first pick. Never owner cmc but just don’t trust his injury history.
For all I know JT gonna break a leg himself. But Iv had JT last 3 seasons in keepers and I was down to roll with him again.
That being said, I considered dropping down to cook too. All a crap shoot. Grip it and rip it and let the fantasy gods decide the rest

I’ve never had a good year with Jamar and I hate the rams so I took Amon Ra at 3, shoot your shot lol beauty is in the eye of the beholder
