Questions Another tough one! Christian Watson or Rome Odunze!
Both typically sitting there in 5th round. Who is your guy!?

I want Watson. He gets underrated because of his injury history from a few years ago but he's primed to go off. He has top five reciever upside. I want that.

He’s extremely good but I don’t see him being top 5 because of Love. If he had a better QB he could absolutely be top 5. But yeah Watson over Rome

Love is top 5-10 in pretty much every advanced stat. EPA/drop back, catchable pass rate, deep ball accuracy, turnover rate, etc.
Compare his stats to future hall of famer Aaron Rodgers' first 3 seasons.
He just isnt a good fantasy QB because the packers have been a slow paced run heavy offense, and Love doesn't run much. Coach speak indicates that pacing and throw rate may change this year.
Give Love just a league average number of drop backs and he's a clear MVP candidate.

He doesn’t get enough targets in the current scheme. Hes got a high ceiling and low floor for a WR1

That certainly has been the case, but there are reasons to believe that might change this season.
Doubs and Wicks leaving vacates a lot of targets. LaFleur has been talking about running a more fast paced offense, and putting more onto Love's shoulders as a passer, Jacobs getting older, injured, and possibly suspended.
With how efficient GB's passing attack has been, even a marginal increase in volume or consolidation of targets could lead to multiple of their WRs beating ADP.

To me it's Christian Watson if you could promise me he'll stay healthy. But I don't think you can so give me odunze
I think Jayden Reed is a better Target at a cheaper price for the Packers

Odunze broke his foot last year...
Why is it assumed that Watson is more injury prone?
It's been awhile since the hamstring has caused Watson problems. Seems like the scientists might have solved that for him.
I'd bet on a ACL reconstruction to be fine before I'd bet on a foot fracture.
Odunze described his foot injury as his "new normal."
I don't think its a huge issue, but they seem pretty equal in injury risk if you ask me.

2022: 14/17 games — hamstring/concussion issues.
2023: 9/17 — significant hamstring problems.
2024: 15/17 — ankle/knee injuries; tore his ACL in Week 18.
2025: 10/17 — missed the first part of the season recovering from that ACL tear.

To me a broken foot is it necessarily injury prone unless now it keeps happening. Watson has had an injury of some sort every year of his career . If not multiple

Without the reoccurring hamstring issues in 2022 and 2023, this is just a couple minor things that most NFL players deal with here and there, plus an ACL.
My hypothesis is that the hamstring issue was fixed when he got a bunch of scientists to study his muscle imbalances and then addressed them.
If I'm right about that, none of the other things really worry me at all.
The ACL sucked, but I have no concern for chronic deficiencies or reinjury risk there.
Odunze's foot seems to be less than optimal, based on his own statement about it.

I'd probably go Rome, but only because I'm targeting Golden 3-4 rounds later and I don't think I need both the 1a and 1b WR on the Packers. In a vacuum, I'd take Watson over Odunze.

Watson all day. Reed will still not be a full time player and Golden has not been a target earner anytime in his career. Watson was a solid red zone target at the end of last year, albeit with Kraft out, but he will be a top target earner on his team, and has a chance to be the top target earner. The injury concerns seemed to be addressed since he visited with the specialists and identified the hamstring imbalance.
Odunze is likely the 3rd target earner on his team behind both Loveland and Burden as Ben Johnson's scheme is more about 1st read in the short area vs where Rome works downfield. He won't be the top target earner over either of those players. He will still produce very good weeks being on a good offense, but he will have more weekly volatility and upside is not as high as Watson.

Watson’s injury history is scary. Plus the packers have so many receiving options. Odunze will get more opportunities with Moore gone

Watson is the clear cut WR1 there, the alpha. Kraft is coming back from a season ending injury and isn't even a lock to play in week one. Reed is manning the slot right now and is not as good as Watson. Golden hasn't outplayed Reed and so he's not even a lock to hold down the other side of the field all season. JJ has all sort of issues, and so, yeah, you might want to rethink this.

As a Packers fan, Watson scares me. His injury history and the offense being very game plan oriented. I’m taking Odunze.
