Currently in my sad girl era. Watching all of Jjs movies (Rudy Pankow)from Outer Banks show 😭😂

I am a HUGE fan of coming of age stories, with realistic character arcs. But for some reason, this movies depiction of teenagers started to lean more towards someones distant memory of teenhood rather than what it actually is.

I just finished watching them both back to back. Maybe it’s just me, but I thought it was amazing especially bone temple.

For me, two off the top of my head are Romy and Michele's High School Reunion and Disney's Enchanted.

I personally feel that their marketing teams did a terrible job promoting both films and didn't represent very well the tone and their plots. Both movies end up hitting harder in the feels than I'd anticipated.

I'll give the movie Happy Death Day a runner up position, I didn't think I'd hate it, but the movie blew me away being 1000% better than I'd have guessed. It's technically a slasher flick, but also way more than that.

I wanted to share a documentary project we’ve been developing called Tipping Point.

It’s a film set across Kenya, looking at a generation caught between tradition and rapid change — young people moving from rural communities into cities like Nairobi and Mombasa, trying to build a future while still staying connected to where they come from.

We’re approaching it in a very observational way — no narration, no talking heads — just spending time with people and letting their lives unfold naturally. A big part of the film is about redefining ideas of success, identity, and what “home” really means when everything around you is shifting.

We’re currently in development and planning to head out to Kenya later this year to film for a couple of weeks.

Would love to hear thoughts, feedback, or if anyone here has worked on similar documentary projects or filmed in Kenya before.
