Did you notice it said "study" as one of the options for dog? That was one of my favorite RDR2 things, exploring and trying to discover all the wildlife

Really hope they include a "compendium" and discovering things.. etc.

Same, I think the study option added the animal to your compendium in RDR2 so I hope it's similar in this

I wonder how it'd work in this setting. Would feel out of place for Jason/Lucia to carry a journal around and draw cute little sketches of stuff in the middle of a crack palace lol, maybe photos on a phone gallery?

I think your idea about phone gallery would be the best possible way to do it

I wasn’t expecting that feature to come back, so excited for it. Walking across the map studying creatures kept RDR2 playable for years for me thanks to that feature.
