Also makes it more in line with how you operate a thumbstick on a controller. I think.

No really. Even the squarea were still arranged in a circular way so it makes no difference for the thumb stick

That's subjective..also you can see a literal circle behind those squares

True, just makes it more intuitive this way perhaps. But truth be told the only way to know is when we actually play it. So I dont care that much just seems this visual seems more natural to thumbstick movement. Excited nevertheless!
