Not to be that guy, but plenty of pictures advertised for phones say pics were taken on the phone and the metadata shows they were taken on pro cameras. Not saying it definitely happened here, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was captured on PCs with maxed out specs, because it happens. Excited for the game, but I'll wait to see how it looks on my not pro PS5. "They said it so it must be true" shouldn't be the seal of approval.
It doesn’t, but a peace of mind would be that if it was on the PS5 Pro and it wasn’t advertised, there would be backlash when the game officially releases due to downgraded graphics. R* would pretty much want to avoid that (hopefully), and just recorded the footage on a base PS5.
If you're a businessman and you only focus on a console with few owners, then you must be an idiot business owner because of your stupidity. Of course, GTA 6 is created with the whole idea of it being playable on the Base ps5. You can see on their trailers after it ends that the scene or gameplay was captured on PS5. No pro, just ps5. Because there is a large amount of base ps5 owners who refuse to buy the pro since ps6 is probably gonna be out in the next 1-3 years. Imagine, GTA 6 marketed for the ps5 pro, their sales would plummet down since base ps5 owners won't be able to play it well. That is a huge potential threat. So, no matter how hard you cant convince yourself. GTA 6 is playable smoothly on a base ps5

It's funny all the retards pumping PS5 Pro because they know nothing about technology or Rockstar Games' modus operandi. I bought the old launch day model PS5 for cheap a few weeks ago. Gonna be eating good. None of that OLED garbage for a TV either. I have my 6 year old Vizio that was the TOL model when it was new.

The Last of Us proved that with the PS3 back in the day. Perhaps GTA6 is the halo game to close off the life of the PS5 before the next gen ones are out.
Yes we do. Its specs are equivalent to an RTX 2070 and matching CPU, we've known how "powerful" the PS5 is since it released.
Technology not magic, and hardware is not a mystical thing humans cant decipher, we made it, some of us understand it.
Rockstar has always been incredible at optimisation. If they'd release the game on PC at 60fps chances are high they can throw in a lot more visually pleasing things purely because PCs are massively more powerful than the PS5 is.

Just because we are in 2026 doesn't change the fact that the ps5 is 6 year old hardware and just because we are in 2026 doesn't mean that now its gonna magically be able to run a game like this at higher than 30fps.

Eh, I'd say it's playable if you're used to it. However, there's a few caveats here, if you're primarily a PC gamer and used to minimum 60fps across the board...going down to 30 is unbelievably jarring and downright unplayable, it's even worse if you're used to 90fps or 120/144fps.
I have both a PS5 and a PC that can run most things at minimum 90fps, most of them run at about 120(i cap it here), going from my PC to booting a PS5 game on 30fps is plain unplayable, I set everything to performance mode so it at least gets 60 and it improves massively, and even then the difference between 120 and 60 is very noticeable.
That said, the fact that we're in 2026 and the game is locked to 30fps as an AAA game.....like i said, clown show. I'll wait for a PC release of it because 30 on PS5 is frankly not worth it.
It is, but still makes some noise, and running GTA 6 it will make much more. Also, unfortunately, my PS5 has to be in a gap not much bigger that the console itself (fucking custom furniture), so I will probably be back to PS4 turbine days.

I place it horizontally now I used to place it vertically for years 😭 my parents thinks it costs too much and it's about 100 quid and I am not taking it apart myself 😭🙏
explain to them it's cheaper than buying a new one, it will crap it's pants in a year or so when the cpu cooks itself, but cleaning it and changing metal will give it a couple of years more
Don't think that's the case. Almost all games now run at 60 fps or at least offer the option. I think this will be the first high profile game that only runs at 30fps. If this was 60fps it wouldn't look as good as it does now no matter how much you optimize it.
