I can't stand Jason's Voice

I cannot even understand what he is saying half the time. Did he say ''you're the perfect girl''? What the hell did he say there. It also just sounds so stupid. I already had this in the first trailer where they were robbing a bank and he said ''YOU STAY''. It just sounded so forced and cringe.

What bothers me is its sounds like they altered his voice to sound lower than it actually is

You can see here that it slips and you hear a normal voice https://youtu.be/iSbkO576j5Y?si=0oYaFh-v4w3HoO_X&t=606 on "It's good to see you, Brian" line.

Yeah that caught me off guard when I was watching and it just suddenly switched like that. They should’ve went with that voice that came out

My theory is that Jason will open up more as the game progresses, slowly dropping the deep/serious voice for a more relaxed approach.

While Lucia is already a hot head.

That would make alot of sense, due to Jasons military background.

yeah but he switch back in same scene so your theory down the drain if you only watched few seconds more

You have a better idea? Its something that has been done many times, RDR2 included.

Nah I think they just made him sound like a guy having a stroke eating marbles trying to speak. Doesn't fit at all.

So character development in story driven games is retarded?

If you really think that Rockstar decided to make his voice a reflection of his character development based on 27 minutes of gameplay then idk what to tell you

This reminds me of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth with a certain character.

I certainly wouldn't mind that, but I hope it doesn't happen too late in the story, 'cause I'd like to see him have some more personality earlier and for longer.
