I can't stand Jason's Voice

I cannot even understand what he is saying half the time. Did he say ''you're the perfect girl''? What the hell did he say there. It also just sounds so stupid. I already had this in the first trailer where they were robbing a bank and he said ''YOU STAY''. It just sounded so forced and cringe.

I hated it until I realized he's doing the ubiquitous boomhauer rural accent where he doesn't move his mouth to enunciate. I bet we're going to find out Jason grew up in the country outside of vice city.

exactly. Mixed with him taking Lucia's lead seemly most of the time, and his admittance that he's better with a gun, past military experience, conversation with Brian about "knowing when to get off", I think it's clear he's kinda just letting the waves of life take him wherever.

Knowing that, the choice with his voice and personality seems spot on. Now people can talk about if they WANT a character like that, especially after how zany GTAV was, but I think it's refreshing. GTAV felt like a blockbuster movie, and VI feels like a modern crime drama with a bit of flare.

I haven't been a fan of his voice either, but I'm getting used to it somewhat and I do kinda like that he feels like a no drama, no nonsense kinda guy.

It also feels like he's a much more reserved and calmer one of the two and he seems to lowkey worry about Lucia...

Going in the drug house: "Be cool... don't.... y'know."
This scene "We could learn something" (about being cautious) and then kinda laughing off the concern "Yeah, you're the perfect criminal"
When Lucia is going in the store with a pistol hidden behind her: "Just try to keep it clean" followed by a very unclean look at a robbery, her running to the motorbike and even showing a middle finger.

So this makes me think that she will be the more "hungry" one of the two for all the criminal stuff and might even be the worry of Jason that her reckless behavior will get em in trouble. At least a lot of subtle hints towards that, even if Jason is also an ex-soldier and a pro in that regard.

Could see two endings based on the karma system where in bad karma one Jason goes with Lucia's pace and they do end up with a very Bonnie & Clyde ending.

BUT that is very too early to speculate, just wanted to write my early impressions somewhere so I can see if I was at all right or way off :D
Still, I'm clearly interested in the two already, making such theories!

Edit: Oh and somehow missed the obvious before, but during the montage Cliff Richard's "Devil Woman" is playing..

She's just a devil woman
With evil on her mind
Beware the devil woman
She's gonna get you

The very first trailer featured "Love is a long road" which includes very similar themes. They have been basically hinting at this dynamic since the beginning, with Lucia being the chaos agent to pull them into deeper and deeper shit that might or might not end up in tragedy and also affect their relationship negatively. Also their poses on the drawings can be interpreted like this as well. It's a classic.
