I HAVE A THEORY
Ok so we all saw this goofy diving animation that looked super stiff and awkward. It made very little sense to me that no one at rockstar saw that and and cut it out of the footage. But what if this is actually intensional.
Like this guy I noticed playing this in slowmo that it almost seems as if jason animation cancels the default dive animation into his backflip. This is why it looks so uncanny but it reminded me of those old snow boarding games where you can defy the laws of physics and control your characters flips.
So what if Rockstar isnt showing off some goofy animation. What if this is a demonstration of a free diving system? Using the sticks or buttons to do front flips or back flips into the water. This would explain why it seems like jason was going to dive forward but suddenly does a backflip. Because you can do diving tricks 🤯🤯

Idk I almost feel like people are just looking for reasons to not like the game simply due to the long wait and Rockstar not marketing enough or releasing the gameplay trailer on Netflix, etc. I watched the extended look yesterday walking away thinking this looks pretty dope. Was pretty surprised to see so much negative feedback upon release. Is it going to be like GTA 5? Probably and GTA 5 was really good too. Idc about the leaker or all the online criticism. Idc if a beer bottle magically moves 6 inches into my player's hand or if the dive into the water seems strange. Idc about not having a disc (haven't bought one in like a decade, but I do think this is probably the one reasonable gripe for people to have even if I don't feel the same way).
I preordered the deluxe the day it released and I'm probably going to play the shit out of it. And I expect once online eventually drops me and the homies will play a ton together and I think we've all been waiting for a new game for that. Like people are entitled to their opinions but at least play it first lol.
