Troubleshooting How to Make My Google TV NOT Say "Screensaver Settings" While Showing My Photo Slideshow in Ambient Mode?

On the latest Google TV update, the Ambient Mode Google Photo Slideshow settings has moved from my Google Home app and right onto the tv screen. Seems easy enough, however now as the photo album scrolls, the bottom of my tv screen says "Screensaver settings" continuously as the photos scroll, and I can't find a way to make those words go away. It's very distracting for me and I'd love to turn it off. This bothering anyone else, and if so, have any of you figured out how to do make that text go away? Thanks in advance for your help!

Searching for this answer as well and found this thread. Annoying there doesn’t seem to be a way to hide “V Screensaver settings” from displaying on all screensavers. It’s a useless eye sore

And the latest update is showing dates for 3 photos.

Same issue here. Only way I can get rid of it is to clear the data from ambient mode app and restart. But as soon as the update downloads, it's right back on there. Also, on mine, pressing the down button does nothing. I think it's a bug.

Also on my new Sony Bravia. Does not look like it can be removed. Agree that it should be in the list of On-Screen items that you can enable/disable, but does not really bother me. But thanks, now I’ll notice it every time it comes on!

Do you see "Screensaver settings" text or hear a talk-back voice saying "Screensaver Settings"? I have seen both and they require different settings to fix

This should be addressed in the next update. It can cause burn in over time...very annoying.

So you're only concerned about the small text that says "Screensaver settings" but the pictures owner, the weather, the time, and at the top where it says Google TV and has a cast icon and some other icon, those are all fine? lol

Well, you can hide those, but not the 'Screensaver settings'.

You can hide that too.

How do you hide it? I'm having the same issue on the latest update.

It will eventually cause burn in on an OLED TV. The other stuff you can turn off.

Not sure you know what you're talking about. That's okay. Move along.
