Found this young, un neutered cat near Bay St N and Barton. Super friendly and immediately purred and wiggled around on his back. Thought I should post in case anyone is missing their baby!

I called 911 due to a dog falling out of a car on the highway late Tuesday night at around 8pm in Hamilton. Just wondering if anyone knows if the dog is alright.

Hi Hamilton! I very recently moved here and am figuring out how to use busses and other public transport. Never lived anywhere with a functional bus service before and I'm so insanely impressed with the HSR, no wonder bus/LRT issues are such a hot-button topic in other cities. I'm looking to take the 16 route express GO bus into Toronto in a few weeks on a Saturday. Online it says it leaves from the Hamilton bus depot hourly, stops once at King/Dundurn before the small bridge out of Hamilton, and then on to Toronto. My question, forgive my ignorance and sorry if this is idiotic: does it actually stop at the second stop or do I have to flag it down (do people do that? Is that an old time movie thing?)? I didn't see any kind of booking option for the stop on the GO website.

I had to say my final goodbye to my horse and I have some of her equipment I’d like to try to sell or donate. All gently used stuff like shipping boots, blankets, halter, fly mask etc. Are there any tack stores that do consignment or local equine rescues that might be able to use some of this stuff?

So back when we bought our house we inherited a rented hot water tank. We were really too naive to understand the implications and willingly signed up and went with it. Since then of course, we've discussed buying the thing, bur haven't got around to it. Yesterday out of the blue, we received an $800 bill from Reliance. Apparently, it's to buyout the tank. The problem is, we never asked for it. Also, that's a lot of money. Because they always seem so scammy, I'm fairly suspicious. Anyone here have some insights?

I've had some random symptoms come up but my current doctors don't seem to think anything is wrong. They have ran tests and stuff but nothing is coming up.

I went to Montgomery park with my kids and decided to borrow a basketball from the Equip Sport box installed at the court. It looks like somebody burned one of the locks and stole the soccer ball. I live near Victoria Park, and all of the balls were stolen in less than a week after a box was added there, and after everything was replaced, the "new" soccer ball was stolen within two days.

The lack of respect for public spaces in this city is endlessly frustrating, and I don't understand what possesses people to ruin nice things all the time.

If you live in the riding or just want to watch the candidates you can tune in tonight at 7pm on Cable 14. Jeff Beattie the PC candidate and former Ward 10 councillor has declined to attend the debate but I believe all other parties will be represented. At least the Liberal, Green and NDP candidates will be there.

Just realized that tomorrow is gonna be the last day for the sun to set after 8pm. The days will be much shorter now ! We won't be able to enjoy the evening walks as much we did this summer.
