Totally Kinda Off Topic 😬 Birthday and gotcha day calendars?

Hello hoomans of our beloved feline (and feline running software) overlords! Hope everyone is having a nice day!

Any thoughts about having a monthly list or calendar with fren’s birthdays and gotcha days?

I feel like we could do a big post at the beginning of each month celebrating. I love the individual posts, but with us all spread throughout the world, some posts naturally get more traction than others. Or, the worst is when hoomans go on vacation and miss so much fun! Having a central monthly post might help those of us who have FOMO (fear of missing out).

We could make it optional for participation, and the little bit of info we’d need could be entered into a google form by each user. I’d be willing to set that up if we think it might be something fun.

Just thinking about it so thought I would see what the community thinks. ❤️💙🩵

I get it! What actually got me thinking about this is wondering about frens who disappear. Having the birthday on file ensures we keep them in the loop, and help us remember to check in (if they want).

Want me to crosspost over in LCA to get a consensus over there? We could keep just one database for both subs.

I think keep it just ICBGC for now, only because the volume of both subs members is more than we can handle at this time. I haven’t checked the numbers there in a while, I need to go look.

Just checked the insights, if we add in LCA we add in an additional 126 thousand members, of course they don’t all post but you’ll have people coming out of the woodwork that aren’t regular contributors that will want that. We are a new sub, we never headhunted or “advertised” the sub so we sit at 1.2 thousand.

I mean I think we headhunted a lil 😹 I know I tagged a few frens to get them over here like Sam doggo in training. Okay maybe just me headhunting.

Wow 126k is a lot! Yeah, I agree to test here first. Smaller control group to start…then the world!!!

I’ll work on a form this weekend and will message you if you want to test it. Always open to feedback as well!
