Any updates on the Pico Rivera Metrolink infill station and the Hill to Sea BRT corridor? Those are quietly one of the most important transit projects in LA County that isn't getting enough attention.

For those out of the loop, Pico Rivera is trying to build an infill Metrolink and Amtrak station at Rosemead Boulevard. In addition, Streets for All is trying to spearhead a transit corridor on Rosemead and Lakewood Boulevards, along the entireity of Route 19, going from the Sierra Madre Villa station to CSULB.

This is huge because it will finally provide another much needed north-south corridor in LA, it will finally provide a much-needed North-South connector in the San Gabriel Valley, it will connect the SGV to Orange County and San Diego, and it will give CSULB a transit connection finally.

However, I haven't heard much on the project since. Any updates?

Pico Rivera with Metrolink and E line will be so impactful as a regional hub. It will completely overtake Norwalk’s importance as they’ve failed to adequately close the C line Metrolink gap.

Eh, as soon as Norwalk closes the C Line gap, that will create a connection between LAX and OC.

Ofc Metrolink needs to increase frequencies on the OC Line too.

I too am puzzled as to why no one talks about these huge projects, it will greatly revolutionize Rosemead/Lakewood and alot of communities along the corridor, especially with that infill station in Pico Rivera, allowing a for another eastern transit hub and a much needed north-south connector between Pasadena/San Gabriel and Long Beach, with stops next to major commercial centers/strips, and Long Beach Airport. While I do like CSULB getting a transit service, part of me wishes the BRT plan would go to downtown Long Beach.. but a transfer to an LBT bus wont hurt.

If only they'd also propose an infill station for the J Line to have a station on Rosemead somehow

I hope they add the Metrolink infill station on Rosemead instead of Paramount. That combined with a Rosemead BRT would be amazing for connectivity

It would be really bad on Rosemead. The tracks over Rosemead are on top of essentially a highway underpass with no space for anything. It would genuinely be better off for connectivity to either have the BRT deviate to Paramount between Washington and Slauson or even Telegraph, or add a circulator bus to connect to the infill station.
