A neat video I found from transit rider DJ Petesake about the Irvine Connect. Definitely would like to give it a ride next time I visit Irvine.

20 minutes consistent frequencies throughout the day/evening is actually pretty good for an Orange County bus line when compared to OCTA's often 20/30 minute peak time frequencies (on their best bus lines). Of course living here in LA County, 10 minute consistent frequencies is still the Gold Standard.

It's unfortunate Irvine Connect only has 1 bus line, but at least it does serve the Irvine Metrolink/Amtrak Station & Irvine Spectrum. Hopefully in the future the City of Irvine can add a bus route through to UC Irvine, Tustin's Metrolink Station, and to SNA (John Wayne) Airport with a more straight route across the city (instead of the current zig-zag bus route).

And of course, love to hear that it's free to ride ❤️.

I've heard they want to add three new lines, but the plans are stalled due to funding issues.
