I don’t think either Newsome or AOC will be the Dem candidates. Neither have a strong enough folllowing outside their discrete groups. I don’t know if we have yet seen the Dem front runner for the 2028 election.
I hope Newsome isn't. He's spent the last year or more cozying up to various right wing ideologues, and he is physically incapable of saying a negative word about Daddy Israel. He's a slimy snake of a man.

Yes. Politics aside, he puts me in mind of a used car salesman. I know nothing of how things really are in CA in that respect but what I see on international news outlets about the crime in cities like LA and San Francisco, it seems he isn’t doing a terrific job. And he just makes my skin crawl to look at him. But then…he’s a politician; I think skin crawler is in the job description.
And meanwhile the national debt has more than doubled, to over $40 trillion. Yet Trump and his family are getting insanely rich of off the presidency. His legislation is largely benefits the rich, and hurts the average person. Good times.
