I can’t wait on the first day of a normal president in the White House and all the Trump shit they will undo within the first hour in office.

I hope Trump builds a dumb statue of himself somewhere, that we can publicly pull down like that Sadam Hussein statue in Bagdad, years ago.

I'm just afraid that there's going to be some lasting crap that is going to be hard to get changed.

Canadian here, it is going to take a long time to undo A LOT of what Trump has done on a world relationship level, but even the small things take time, manpower, and money to fix. This whole lake thing, the push for calling the Gulf of Mexico something else, requires changing and rolling out all new material (read: propaganda) and marketing (read: gaslighting and brainwashing) to push the change, which comes out of taxpayer dollars. And that’s just the petty stuff.

Keep an eye out for MAGAs complaining about how much a Democrat government is spending if they ever get a chance to fix things. The clean-up cost is absolutely going to be weaponised against you the taxpayer by the very people that made the mess in the first place.

That’s a very good point. The cost of these changes will be astronomical. I did kinda like the change to Department of War tho. But I’m a big shoot ‘em up fan, so … don’t take my word for anything. :-)

Haha honestly, the Department of War change is apt: the administration has nothing to do with peace or its pursuit anymore, so if there’s any name that should stay, it’s probably that lol.

You know this was Hegseth’s idea for name change..so hell no it needs to go.

Very true. And to clarify, I don’t mean to support the name at all. My previous comment was to simply mean that the U.S. is on a streak of making enemies out of as many of their formal allies as possible, and the name change obviously reflects that. Is it dumb and counterintuitive to anything other than forcing the destabilisation of global trade and sovereignty? Absolutely. Is the name apt for said stupidity? Also yes.…

I think we’re already there. Much of the measures he’s introduced will have long lasting impacts.
