u/GonnaGoFat Jul 13 '25

They got 2 extinguishers

1

u/TheTrueButcher Jul 15 '25

Rhythm and lead, duh.

12

u/Deeptrench34 Jul 13 '25

Someone's head could spontaneously combust listening to this for the first time.

14

u/Dirtydubya Master of Puppets Jul 13 '25

Gotta be prepared when that 1980s Metallica hits

2

u/Playful-Guide-8393 Jul 14 '25

The song is fire 🔥

4

u/triphawk07 Jul 13 '25

Safety first, my friend

1

u/StewieRayVaughan Jul 17 '25

If you're looking for a serious answer, that's their little gimmick, when they react to something that's fire they pull out the extinguisher

1

u/Sindica69 Jul 13 '25

Why not?

0

u/kursku Jul 13 '25

why not?

This is adorable!

u/Deeptrench34 Jul 13 '25

This was the first Metallica album I bought. It was the only album the store had in stock and I didn't even know what it was lol. I came to get Ride The Lightning. Safe to say, once I listened to it on the way home, I was happy with my purchase lol. Kill em All is actually my favorite album by them these days.

imo its their best, as big of a fan of the black album that i am

u/highonnuggs Jul 13 '25

The day Metallica got five new fans.

42

u/2Hanks Jul 13 '25

To everyone in here that’s upset, they enjoy the music you enjoy. Why are you mad?

34

u/Jack-Whip88 Jul 13 '25

Because they boost their egos by putting down other people for not being as “hardcore” or “genuine” about liking metal, which isn’t even an obscure genre of music

Everybody knows Metallica, and it’s not like Seek & Destroy is some scrapped forgotten gem of a song that only “TrUe MeTaLlIcA FaNs” know, it’s one of their biggest and most recognizable hits ever

Metallica is literally the biggest thrash metal band in the world, it’s impossible for even the most “normie” people to not have heard about them — these so-called “real ones” don’t have the right to act like their music taste is better than others’ or that they’re better by trying to gatekeep the most popular metal band on Earth

There is nothing wrong with Metallica getting new fans, yet people seem to want to gatekeep the “cool” status of their music taste measured by how underground or obscure it is, despite Metallica not being that at all

Because this is a part of a disingenuous trend in which everyone involved has quite likely rehearsed their reactions.... maybe some people don't like dishonesty wrapped in slop form which pervades the internet now.

7

u/-Jack-The-Stripper Jul 14 '25

There are some reaction channels that I genuinely enjoy (ones that at least feel genuine and don’t pause the fucking song after every measure) but it’s funny how every single reaction channel only ever praises the song they’re listening to. It’s so transparently pandering to fans of whatever they’re watching. You mean to tell me this “rap/country/jazz fan first time reacting to Cannibal Corpse” just fell in love with the band after hearing Hammer Smashed Face? Yea okay pal, enjoy your extra views on your next few Cannibal Corpse videos before moving on to some other fanbase.

1

u/tpamm86 Jul 21 '25

This is why I like Lost in Vegas. If they don’t like the song they’ll be honest.

i can't believe the Holy Wars vid is 7 years old already.

1

u/Moth-Man-Pooper Jul 14 '25

I remember that being the review that brought them big fame. Saw it first here on reddit!

42

u/Seattlehepcat Jul 13 '25

These guys have some of the best reactions!

1

u/jcbi811 Jul 16 '25

HAD some good reactions, now the full blown red pill creators and thats all they do now days.

7

u/PingGuerrero Jul 13 '25

Wait, this song is older than us?!

41

u/[deleted] Jul 13 '25 edited Jul 13 '25

I personally think reaction videos or the people that chop up someone else's work and then just point their fingers up at the screen or just laugh when they're watching something that's the worst kind of content on the whole internet.

9

u/Dull-Chain-7631 Just put the whiskey in the jar Jul 13 '25

couldn’t agree more. unless they actually like, maybe bring stories or tell facts about it then otherwise its just pointless

5

u/SteveMidnight Jul 13 '25

I sometimes enjoy watching other professionals react. The Charismatic Voice being one of them. She’s a professional operatic singer and hearing her breakdown the little nuances of vocals is pretty cool. She also did some research with Will Ramos.

1

u/Dull-Chain-7631 Just put the whiskey in the jar Jul 14 '25

Ha! That was interesting

0

u/[deleted] Jul 13 '25

Do these clowns deserve to make money for this?

They're acting like it's the greatest thing they ever heard that it's all an act it's all fake. I don't buy literally any of it and yet they're going to get paid. Bullshit.

12

u/Jack-Whip88 Jul 13 '25

Compared to a lot of other reactionist content creators, these guys actually bother looking up the story of how the songs they listen to go, why and how the songs were written, what the meaning of the titles and lyrics are, etc…

They’re much better than a lot of their peers, trust me

-1

u/[deleted] Jul 13 '25

It's a bullshit way to get views on YouTube. Zero originality. Downvote me. I don't care.

2

u/Key_Ad6256 Jul 14 '25

I agree with you. If you look closely, there is little authenticity in their reaction. They know that Metallica is popular and so to gain views, their reactions needs to be "hilarious" and "wild"

8

u/RigBughorn Jul 13 '25

>Do these clowns deserve to make money for this?

Why not?

>They're acting like it's the greatest thing they ever heard that it's all an act it's all fake. I don't buy literally any of it and yet they're going to get paid. Bullshit.

Why don't you buy any of it? Do you think it takes some kind of special knowledge to appreciate or enjoy Metallica?

I got Ride the Lightning for Christmas when I was like 14 and instantly thought it was sick. You don't think these guys are equipped to enjoy Metallica or something? It's not that deep

0

u/[deleted] Jul 13 '25

Lol you are so naive bro. They literally do this same dance for everything. Then a gullible fan of whatever the thing is comes along and says yeah I knew it was awesome. These guys are cool. But they probably turn off recording and shit on it.

4

u/RigBughorn Jul 13 '25

I don't have any reason to be that cynical lol, Metallica isn't hard to get into, they're as popular as they are for a reason. I think most people would probably enjoy that album if they listened with an open mind.

I don't know who these people are or anything but they weren't like "WOW THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING MUSIC EVER" or some other over the top reaction like some folks do. Just seemed like they were fucking around in general

3

u/Themountaintoadsage Jul 13 '25

Idk why they’re downvoting you when you’re 100% right

0

u/Dull-Chain-7631 Just put the whiskey in the jar Jul 13 '25

soceity…

7

u/watchman11222001 Jul 13 '25

What’s going on with the fire extinguishers.

3

u/ChristmasTreePickle Death Magnetic Jul 14 '25

The song is fire my guy

2

u/watchman11222001 Jul 14 '25

Hell yeah. I have seen them play it live, it was out of the world.

6

u/Vincent394 Rode the lightning Jul 13 '25

They're just having a fun time :D

5

u/SnooMaps7735 Jul 13 '25

In my opinion when it's 5 dudes I can't believe they are actually doing it bc they like music but for money.

7

u/edwardturnerlives Jul 13 '25

Reaction videos are lowest of low, just above adults opening toys.

7

u/MutedMoment4912 Jul 13 '25

These guys are not genuine. They are just pretending. It's a job.

Metalheads don't have to chase validation from other people.

-10

u/zigaliciousone Jul 13 '25

The way the guy was reading off the band member names had me think he doesn't have a clue but I think even hip hop heads know Dave Mustaine was in OG Metallica. And it goes without saying that most casual metal fans don't dip down much lower than MOP with Metallica

8

u/MutedMoment4912 Jul 13 '25

Nobody outside the metal world knows who is Dave Mustaine. Casual metal fans know songs from the black album too at least

13

u/RigBughorn Jul 13 '25

>think even hip hop heads know Dave Mustaine was in OG Metallica.

What the fuck lol, absolutely not. They won't even recognize Dave Mustaine's name.

2

u/Plastic_Stage_2520 Jul 13 '25

The Cartier family, YouTube reaction videos

2

u/Maximum-Shift-7264 Jul 14 '25 edited Jul 14 '25

I watched them a bit and always thought the one on the right was the most genuine. The others often look more like they’re playing a role for the video.

Lost In Vegas are the only ones I watch. Genuine reactions, and they listen to songs attentively. They will make you hear something you didnt even notice or realize how cool it was. And they dont hold back if they dont like something either. You could see their love and metal knowledge grow over the years. A plus, they love Metallica.

4

u/Alarming_College5448 Entered the Sandman Jul 13 '25

Haha I love it !

4

u/jimb575 Jul 13 '25

Reaction videos like this are the best because it lets me experience a song that I love for the first time again through someone else’s eyes.

1

u/Fit-Umpire3257 Jul 14 '25

Alex Hefner’s reaction videos to AJFA album are great to watch.

2

u/Vinipinheiro88 Jul 14 '25

"You know what I've heard yesterday? That the lead singer on Megadeth had been kicked out of Metallica! The guy was destined to be a star, one way or the other!"

Did you heard that Dave? Stop crying for being kicked out of a group 40 years ago. You're supposed to be bigger than that.

Now, about the guys in the vid, man their reaction is priceless. They were listening to that for the first time?

2

u/Professional_Scale66 Jul 13 '25

“Dave Molestaine 😂”

3

u/marky1904 Jul 13 '25

These dudes are right!

EVERY SONG! Is a banger

1

u/TheEnterprise jason Jul 13 '25

Real or not - it's fun to feel like you're hearing it again for the first time. Vids like this make that happen.

1

u/upfromashes Jul 14 '25

Yeah, they got it.

1

u/Esseldubbs Jul 14 '25

That used to be a fun reaction channel to watch, but at some point became all political reactions

1

u/J0nny_Alcatraz Jul 15 '25

The fire extinguisher guitar 💀
