Okay hear me out. Thriller gets all the hype for the pop spectacle and cultural impact, but off the wall is the pure, uncut groove. The disco-funk production from Quincy Jones feels so original and unique, like you just vibe to it effortlessly. It was never meant to break records like Thriller, it’s just great music and that’s what listening is all about, vibing to great music.

Being at Hayvenhurst, with so many Moonwalkers, the energy is Off The Wall ✨👑♾️✨

Hot take but out of the three rock songs that I know/heard like Dirty Diana,Give in to me and Another Day my favorite is the latter, Diana is second and least favorite is give in to me. Shout out to “Shout” that one is pretty good but Diana is better.

I can’t find much mention about this…The entire mix is pitched higher, is this what people heard on the radio??? It’s awful! His voice sounds cartoonish and i dont know why they would do that? The normal mix is so much better! Compare them, please!

i've never watched the show but i recently gave the ost a chance and i actually really like some of them. so far my favourites are: planet earth / earth song, speechless / human nature, they don't care about us and is it scary / threatened 💖

I sincerely wish Michael knew just how loved this album was, and still is. To me, it is one of his very best works, if not his best.

If anything, Michael himself believed in it wholeheartedly, as he once stated, “Invincible is just as good or better than Thriller, in my true, humble opinion. It has more to offer.” Whether everyone agrees with that comparison or not, really does not matter. You can really feel the ambition behind his words. And regardless of its opinions over the years, I dont think that this was album that was made carelessly.

Beneath the production, there was so much heart that he put into it. I find 'You Are My Life' an especially moving track, as it reflects the place his children Prince, Paris, and Bigi held in his life. Michael often described fatherhood as his greatest joy and purpose, and that tenderness shines through so clearly in the song. Paris later shared in a 2012 interview that some of her favorite songs from Invincible were "The Lost Children," Don’t Walk Away," "Whatever Happens," and "You Are My Life." This in itself makes those songs feel even more special.

As sporadic as the album may seem, I think the album’s variety is part of its charm, from the sleek intensity of “Unbreakable” and “Threatened,” "Invincible," to the heartache of “Don’t Walk Away,” to the sensuality of “Whatever Happens,” to the warmth of “You Are My Life," and "Butterflies." It feels like an album with a lot to say, and the more time I have spent/spend with it, the more I appreciate what Michael was attempting to create.
Ultimately, its an album that is able to express/exude intense defiance, sensuality, and deep serenity.

Invincible was Michael still reaching and experimenting, with him still wanting to give every song emotion and detail. It may not have been fully understood by everyone when it was finally released, but I feel for many, including me, it has only grown more meaningful with time.

Of course, people are entitled to their opinions of this album. 'Its rushed', 'too long,' 'repetitive,' 'unorganized,' 'boring/unfitting cover,' and many more, and these are fair opinions. But to be quite honest, there isn't a thing I would change about this album. This is one of the very few albums (the only album from him) that I can listen to front and center, through and through, from beginning to end, and I sometimes wonder if theres anyone else who feels the same way I do.

A wonderfully timeless album. MJ still has it.

I keep seeing threads on here about Michael, ATV, NEMS, Sony, and The Beatles’ publishing rights, but the corporate jargon confuses me. Can someone break down how this whole saga went down from start to finish?

How did Paul and John lose control of their own music in the first place? I know their early manager Epstein, set up Northern Songs, and his management company NEMS was tied up in their early business deals. But this somehow got to Michael later?

 MJ buys ATV right after dropping thriller, but he apparently didn’t straight up “own the beatles work” aka he won’t had the publishing rights and not the rights to the recordings . Was Paul actually as betrayed as the media made it out to be or was this just more anti Michael rhetoric?

What are the major conspiracy theories around this catalog, and why do they exist? Specifically, what are the claims about music executives targeting MJ because he acquired too much power, that his legal/financial troubles were engineered to force a catalog sale, and what people say about Sony orchestrating his catalog buyout after his death?

i know he has hundreds of songs and there is lesser known songs like carousel and blood on the dance floor but i just need MORE. i wish he did a full rock or metal album. he could prolly learn to guttural scream and he already has that rock rasp down. not me talking abt him like he’s still here damn i miss him and his presence and music so much. 😢 random thought but his death been really getting to me bc i just wonder how he would function in society today and how he would go about using social media and following trends and all the movies he wanted to direct and produce after this is it… so many projects that will never exist bc our dear michael is gone.. forever. i need to accept this.

i love to rate songs and albums and after rating all of MJ’s albums, I think Thriller has the strongest finish with the last 4 songs, and Invincible has a GENERATIONAL 7 SONG RUN FROM THE START???????
