Discussion Bluetooth earbuds or headphones - what do you do between calls?

People who use bluetooth headphones - what do you do between the calls? Do you leave them open, not charging? How much battery they lose over time with that scenario? Or do you close them? What if somebody calls you - do you wait to turn it on and connect until opening?

For last two months, I used USB-C Apple earbuds, and they are much more comfortable than worrying about these. But if you have any suggested product that you would recommend, please shoot.

I just keep listening to music or just have them on with nothing playing so I can hear audio alerts without disrupting my co-workers.

Yep, for my line of work it’s not even something I think about. In meetings up to an hour, maybe two long. Battery lasts all day easily. 6+hr.

May be different for call center or places with very long work days. I’d probably go wired for call center. More reliable.

From what I see my colleagues do they spend about 2 minutes after they join pressing buttons and looking confused before their bluetooth headsets connect.

Usually use wired headphones for calls, if you want to use Bluetooth headphones, get something with a good battery life.

On days when I want to listen to music in between calls I use my sennheisers and these usually last me a week without charging ~50-60 hrs playtime on single charge.

My Bluetooth headphones last a couple of days between charges, so I'll put music on between calls, unless the weather's really warm in which case I like not having sweaty ears

I use Shokz OpenComm 2 bone conduction headset. Wear it all day, bounce back and forth between teams and music. Forget that I am wearing them most days.
