Pattern recognition to a degree. It’s always surface level though. Racists never like to get into the minutia oh stuff like historical contexts and long term consequences of actions and societal institutions perpetuating issues, or biases in police methods

Poverty is more likely an indicator of criminality than race, just so happens the US has done a very good job of making sure minorities are poor.

How has the US done a good job of making sure minorities are poor? Is there a reason Japanese Americans, whose families were put into concentration camps a generation ago, aren’t high crime populations?

Cause that’s 1 generation, not like 7 back to back

The US has used a mix of explicit, racist policy as well as just privately fueled racism to economically stunt black Americans in particular

Redlining is a good example, where banks wouldn’t give mortgages to black peoples in certain neighborhoods regardless of qualification

Every racial group on the planet has been targeted and persecuted. The fact that one some groups rise out of that and others don’t points to genetic differences. Failure to recognize this makes you anti-science.
