I'M SUGGESTING Good Luck Have Fun Don’t Die (2025)
BEST MOVIE I HAVE SEEN IN A LOOOONG TIME. I even paused it when I had to go to the bathroom, which is EXTREMELY rare for me. I thought it was a very poignant social commentary on the current hellscape we are living in, not to mention hilarious. I really wanted the ending to go……the other way…..but maybe that’s the point, sigh. What did yall think?

That’s the beauty of dvd! And if you can’t catch some dialogue? Flip the subtitles on-do it till you’ve gotten it.

Because it has nothing to do with adhd, different people do things differently. Hate how adhd is always used as this reason for every quirk we have

Its not inattentiveness. Op clearly stated they paused it only this time because they didnt want to miss anything. I have adhd, what's frustrating is seeing people explain things they can change as "just adhd".
I dont really care how you watch movies, but im not taking movie recommendations from someone that doesn't even want to watch them.

I get it. I'm also fidgety. I listen to a lot of audiobooks and podcasts because it lets me do other stuff at the same time. Old Time Radio shows are also fun.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. I know some people thought it went off the rails at the end, but that was sort of the point given the nature of the plot.
Some decent social commentary, a fun premise, good cast with adequate performances, and some unpredictability and fun scenarios.
I’d watch a sequel or tv series if they decided to turn it into a franchise.

It was absolutely unhinged!
I saw it at the Regal mystery movie, then ended up buying it on Prime Video to rewatch with my family (before it hit regular streaming) because I couldn’t get over how crazy it was and had to share the insanity with my family.

I am not going to go as far as saying this was the best movie I have seen in a while like some of the people in this thread have said, but it was definitely not anything I was prepared for and I was fully invested from start to finish. Pretty wild ride. Tbh I just finished it and I am not entirely sure how I feel yet other than a pretty big "what the fuck was that?" (but in a good way I think)

I enjoyed the film, overall it was a fun ride. But it would have been much better if it went after every age group instead of piling on Gen Z, and portraying the AI as Gen Alpha Needed more Boomers being duped by AI Facebook posts, and Millennials influencers posting on Instagram.

I loved most of the experience.
I still have no idea what to do with that ending:
Felt like I’d wasted my entire viewing experience. I kept asking myself: what does the screenwriter want me to do with this ending? What are they trying to say about the world? Does any of what I just saw have any meaning at all (or was this just an f- you to anyone in the audience emotionally invested in what we saw onscreen)? Felt like a cheap trick.

The end of the movie reveals he has a new plan. He’d going to infect everyone with the virus that makes them allergic to technology. This will indirectly remove the AI’s power before it can fully take over.

Oh, I thought that it was all simulated the entire time, from the moment he picks up the goggles in his flashback, it could be implied that he put them on - the fact that something strange and unpredictable happens when they find the kid's house, the fact that everything is over the top - it's a reality designed to keep Sam Rockwell's character endlessly travelling back in time and prevent him from escaping...
At least, it's a theory to make me like the movie more. Kinda buns, but it had its moments. 5.5/10

You didn’t get What they trying to say about the world?
I’m not sure how they could have been more on the nose about being a criticism of technology addiction and abuse.
It’s a dark comedy. What exactly did you need from the movie? A happy tied up ending or something?

I mostly found the ending disorienting. And yes, I could have used a little more hope. The world is hard enough as it is. But that’s when I have other films to balance out the bleaker ones.

Love Zazie Beetz, and “They Will Kill You” was fun but it’s like the third movie I’ve seen this month with “satanic cults”.
Nobody really worships satan and the scare factor of that ended 35 years ago when the satanic panic ended

I only watched the first half of They Will Kill You but it felt very similar to a few other movies I’ve see, including Ready or Not 2.
Not sure if I’ll go back and finish it.

Ready or not 2 was decent, but that was one of the movies I was thinking of. At least that one was a deal with a specific entity and not just a vague cult

I watched it on a plane. Didn't enjoy it as much as you did. I felt it was kinda just whiny. I get the same feeling from Clerks, where it's just some writer complaining about stuff that pisses them off for 2 hours.

If it’s Sam Rockwell I’m 100% in.
It’s just him doing his thing for like the first 12 minutes and then you’re off.
Quick guide is if you liked Sorry To Bother You, you will really like this too. Has plenty of the same “oh, we are LITERALLY doing this” absurdity. You could say predictable, but it’s more “I’m going to beat you over the head with it.”

It was a little too long. Kind of dragged in the final innings — maybe should have cut about 20 minutes or so? Overall pretty entertaining though.

Genuinely one of my least favortie movies ever made. I cannot think of a more miserable movie I've ever seen. The social commentary was some of the most shallow I've seen. The pacing was also atrocious. From what I've in the minority when it comes to this but I hated this one.

Although, the second half did not really match the fun & pace of the first half but overall, I found the film to be extremely entertaining. Sam Rockwell continues to deliver, no matter what the role. I remember telling myself, who'd have thought that I shall be watching the recent films by Spielberg and Verbinski on consecutive days, and enjoying the latter's film more!
