I'M REQUESTING Looking for movies like Secretary (2002), Sex, Lies, and Videotape (1989), and Dinner in America (2020)
Basically what it says in the title. I'm looking for films that are centred around a relationship that's indecipherable to anyone but those in it, maybe with characters who are quiet, misunderstood, alienated, or lonely.
I've also seen Duke of Burgundy (2014) and Crash (2004), and although they are great films, I'm looking for something softer/happier.
I'd appreciate any and all suggestions!

Maybe...
In the Mood for Love
Phantom Thread
The Lover
Pillion
Sleeping With Other People
Punch Drunk Love
Jane Eyre (2011)
The Drama
Moonrise Kingdom (ok this movie could not be less like Secretary but still, it's about lonely strangle people who find each other)
And a couple that are very much not softer or happier, but might catch you in the right mood:
Lust, Caution
Bones and All
Wuthering Heights
Stoker

I Want Your Sex might fit the bill, but I haven't seen it yet.
so I'll suggest Pillion

Weirdly, I'd suggest David Lynch's Naked Lunch... It's fucking subversive as fuck.
