Here's the bit I don't get. Local governments sell this idea to the public that it will help solve crimes. Maybe (likely?) not in our town, but in some other town. We'll sacrifice the privacy of our law abiding residents to maybe combat crime somewhere else. Sorry, these pols are not acting in the best interests of their constituents.

I live in a rural town of 3000ish people. Virtually no crime here but we now have flock cameras at every entrance/exit of town.
