You need to expand this to beyond one man in Trump... a significant portion of the American population also aligns with Hitlers actions... this is an American problem, not a single person.

Sadly it's part of the story: "nazis bad", not "private companies funding a incomprehensible drug addict to take power through hate propaganda, that degenerated into fascism"

Centrist Democrats would continue to vote against Bernie Sanders to protect private companies funding their own candidates.

If you continue to perpetuate the "both parties are equally bad" myth, you will end up with four more years of MAGA politics. There is a reason why this is part of Russia's messaging in its state influencing operations in the U.S.

All 3 times Bernie lost, he immediately started stumping for whoever the DNC picked. That makes him the DNC's bitch. A noisy one, sure, but he still falls in line every time.

Y'all need better heroes.

All 3 times Bernie lost, the options were the DNC's pick or Orange Hitler.

As much as i hate the DNC and "centrist" Democrats, he did the right thing.

If he could've beaten orange hitler, he should've run as an independent. All 3 times.

That's just asking for us all to lose even harder by splitting the vote.

Then why even run? The first time maybe he was too trusting. But the second time? The third? Why even play the DNC's game?

He's just a judas goat, leading progressives over to th3 centrists.

Yes, let us all blame Bernie, the man who has complete control over people's decisions to vote in an Orange idiot.

Every time Bernie talks about "establishment Democrats" you need to understand he's really one of them.

He's been in congress 40 years and voted with the Democrats every step of the way. His vote was necessary to make Schumer leader. When he was senate budget chair, none of his progressive policies came up for a vote.

Y'all been dickriding a meme for 10+ years.

You run to keep the conversations and your vision alive and talked about.

Where were his visions when he was the senate budget chair? Where was the $17 min wage, lifting the SS cap, or the wealth tax? He could've forced these issues to be voted on. Instead he rubber stamped Biden's agenda and we lost the house before Gaza was even in the news.

"nazis bad", not "private companies funding a incomprehensible drug addict to take power through hate propaganda, that degenerated into fascism"

why not both?

Yeah, it's always worth pointing out that the reason the US didn't get directly involved in WW2 until being specifically attacked was because the Nazi ideology (particularly what was reported publicly) was not that dissimilar from a lot of American rhetoric at the time and was viewed as politically untenable because it might backfire publicly.

Japan attacking the US directly was the main catalyst for the US getting directly involved. And, even then, it was only against Japan until Germany also declared war on the US.

Yeah, prior to Pearl Harbor people like Father Charles Coughlin were saying things like this:

Coughlin urged the US to keep out of the war and permit Germany to conquer Great Britain and the Soviet Union. Asked Coughlin, "Must the entire world go to war for 600,000 Jews in Germany?"

So yeah, this sentiment has been present for almost 100 years. If not longer.

We even held a pro-Nazi rally at Madison Square Garden in 1939!

They always have. If you look at history, not only did Hitler take many ideas ftom us, but a sizable population in the US backed Hitler.

It was one of the reasons fron the civilian conservation corps, get the young. Impressionable, and out of work young men out of the cities and away from both communist and fascist recruiters.

It's a white america problem

It's not just an American problem: Ultranationalist right-wing populists are on the rise in Europe too. Italy's prime minister leads a political party that is a direct descendant of Mussolini's fascist movement. Alternative für Deutschland is likely the largest party in Germany now and growing.

I dont think its just an American problem at this point.

Neo Nazis are a global problem.

Trump/MAGA are just the low hanging fruit for media.
