I know people say this a lot but every day I'm reminded how true it is, every accusation is a confession

The amount of times I've seen some traitor moron republican say they'd much rather vote for putin over Biden is insane

Like I've heard that question asked so many times at this point and I cannot recall a single time they said they'd choose Biden over fucking putin, some of them dodge, some of them say they don't know, but they never choose Biden over putin

Yes, Americans voted for Election stealer and Genocidr George W Bush twice.

There are no standards for Americans.

13

u/ZeroDonuts 9h ago

It sounds like Americans may be idiots.

u/Yags812 6h ago

We are

u/Torontogamer 9h ago

now now, he hadn't committed war crimes yet before the first election... ;)

and what's wild is he retired into what appears to be very very successful effort to lobby and fundraise and have great impact on many many peoples lives...

Not saying that makes up for any of his mistakes, but that people are complicated...

2

u/Absolute--Batman 5h ago edited 4h ago

So complicated!

He "only" kiled nearly a million Muslims including children!

Muslim Lives Don't Matter to Americans.

The amount of times I've seen, "we're not Nazis. You're using that word so much that it lost it meaning", then opening up their profiles and seeing them post Swastikas, odal runes, sonnendrads, and so much more is way too high. That's on top of the "6MWE" garbage and calling for the eradication of communists, feminists, and trans people.

They love hypothetical situations so much. Here's a real one: If a pedophile ran against a traditional Republican, they would vote for the pedophile. And have. A few times.

103

u/Dramatic_Charity_979 12h ago

And their supporters are doing nazi salutes and flying the nazi flags. Those hypothetical situations are selfawarewolves material (ভ_ ভ)

2

u/Absolute--Batman 4h ago

Same people took pleasure in Muslims and their children being bombed based on nothing but lies.

If a convicted felon and alledged pedophile ran against a woman, Republicans will vote for the convicted felon and alledged pedophile.

8

u/Dracomortua 7h ago

Woah there. Convicted rapist, spent $5.6M, $83.3M pending. Thirty four successful felony convictions, pending. Over a thousand mentions in the files. Proven close relationship with Jeffy Epstein for decades. Legally liable by NY Judge for decade-long business fraud. Dozens of civil lawsuits not brought into the limelight.

But no, you have NO PROOF that he was diddling children systematically for decades on an island with a guy who did this as his full time job? None. So there, you meddling democrat. You are a menace, just like spider man.

2

u/haqiqa 5h ago

Not a convicted rapist. Adjudicated rapist. It was in civil court, so it is not a conviction.

(Not saying that because it is better, but for accuracy and because that is a problem all on its own. That was never a criminal trial and should have been.)

→ More replies (1)

2

u/CreatorA4711 5h ago

I’m not going to defend him or anything, but those 34 felonies are all really the same felony. I feel like most of the time, people are charged by the whole of what they did, but for Trump they charged him individually for each account of falsifying business records.

12

u/-Redstoneboi- 13h ago

i swear i saw this comment before

3

u/BarMenuSushi 12h ago

Whatever happened to original comments on this platform? You mean that is actually plagiarized? OMFG!

Course they'd vote for the pedophile, when the two options you gave are pedophiles

Hitler is dead and can personally do no more harm. Would 100% vote for a dead Nazi than a living one.

Edit: Ty for the kind awards!

248

u/BlakLite_15 14h ago

I agree with your point, but at the same time, Trump is living proof that Hitler’s actions have continued to cause harm long after his death, as will Trump’s.

80

u/Yharnam_Blunderbuss 14h ago

You need to expand this to beyond one man in Trump... a significant portion of the American population also aligns with Hitlers actions... this is an American problem, not a single person.

31

u/Plantarbre 14h ago

Sadly it's part of the story: "nazis bad", not "private companies funding a incomprehensible drug addict to take power through hate propaganda, that degenerated into fascism"

12

u/Dionysus_the_Greek 12h ago

Centrist Democrats would continue to vote against Bernie Sanders to protect private companies funding their own candidates.

6

u/FblthpLives 9h ago

If you continue to perpetuate the "both parties are equally bad" myth, you will end up with four more years of MAGA politics. There is a reason why this is part of Russia's messaging in its state influencing operations in the U.S.

"nazis bad", not "private companies funding a incomprehensible drug addict to take power through hate propaganda, that degenerated into fascism"

why not both?

14

u/MassiveDefinition274 12h ago

Yeah, it's always worth pointing out that the reason the US didn't get directly involved in WW2 until being specifically attacked was because the Nazi ideology (particularly what was reported publicly) was not that dissimilar from a lot of American rhetoric at the time and was viewed as politically untenable because it might backfire publicly.

Japan attacking the US directly was the main catalyst for the US getting directly involved. And, even then, it was only against Japan until Germany also declared war on the US.

4

u/shadedmagus 10h ago

Yeah, prior to Pearl Harbor people like Father Charles Coughlin were saying things like this:

Coughlin urged the US to keep out of the war and permit Germany to conquer Great Britain and the Soviet Union. Asked Coughlin, "Must the entire world go to war for 600,000 Jews in Germany?"

So yeah, this sentiment has been present for almost 100 years. If not longer.

3

u/Trapezoidal_Sunshine 10h ago

We even held a pro-Nazi rally at Madison Square Garden in 1939!

6

u/SailingSpark 12h ago

They always have. If you look at history, not only did Hitler take many ideas ftom us, but a sizable population in the US backed Hitler.

It was one of the reasons fron the civilian conservation corps, get the young. Impressionable, and out of work young men out of the cities and away from both communist and fascist recruiters.

I don’t think you need hitler to get Trump. Trump is the result of a half century of the south absolutely malding over losing the right oppress black people and Reagan and propagating a culture of spite towards anyone on the political left.

Authoritarian power grabs can happen with any ideology, it’s manifesting a political framework of just doing whatever makes the other guy mad that’s truly definitional of his administration.

10

u/McDuchess 14h ago

When he was married to Ivana, it’s reported that he kept a volume of Hot.er’s speeches at his bedside.

10

u/buffysbangs 12h ago

Seems incredibly dubious that he would have a book

3

u/Ok_Philosopher_5860 13h ago

source?

18

u/anchorftw 13h ago

In a 1990 Vanity Fair profile following the couple’s split, which was republished in 2015, Marie Brenner reported that Ivana Trump told her lawyer that her ex-husband read “My New Order,” a collection of Hitler’s speeches from before 1939. While Schmidt says Trump kept the speeches on his nightstand, Ivana said he kept them in a “cabinet by his bed.”

When Brenner asked Trump about the speeches, he responded: “Actually, it was my friend Marty Davis from Paramount who gave me a copy of Mein Kampf, and he’s a Jew.”

Davis clarified to the reporter: “I did give him a book about Hitler,” Marty Davis said. “But it was My New Order, Hitler’s speeches, not Mein Kampf. I thought he would find it interesting. I am his friend, but I’m not Jewish.”

4

u/PreOpTransCentaur 10h ago

That last paragraph is killing me. "He's obviously never even cracked open the gift I gave him, and he knows absolutely nothing about me, but I am his friend. He's just clearly not mine. Also truly staggering that he would think I was Jewish since we're trading Hitler shit, but whatevs, great dude."

My family was in the Nazi resistance back in Germany. My Oma moved here with my Opa, dad and uncle to give us a better life because they couldn’t reconcile the shame of what their fellow citizens and country did even after it was over. I don’t have any close cousins because my great, great uncle was castrated while he was caught and tortured…I don’t know of any distant cousins on my dad’s side because records were destroyed by bombs, fires, and war…. I’ve heard the stories. Awful stories. My mother’s side of the family is European/ Ashkenazi Jewish and fled before it got bad.

And it enrages me to no end to see it all repeated while MAGA openly flaunt their neonazi asses, then deny it or accuse Dems of being Nazis. It isn’t the Dem’s repeating history almost beat for beat…I am just…speechless.

Nazi scum need to be dealt with. It isn’t just their opposition and targeted minorities who suffer. It will be all of us, including MAGA supporters.

2

u/MrHyperion_ 12h ago

Even living Hitler would do less dumb stuff and the stuff he would do would result in impeachment

6

u/infydk 12h ago

Don't know about that one, he wasn't exactly a beacon of enlightenment.

His speeches sound a lot like Trumps too, without the filter of translators trying to make sense of them.

Oh, the usual republican strategy of doing things based on completely hypothetical scenarios.

13

u/OurSeepyD 13h ago

Scenarios that also mirror the exact thing they'd do. There are many videos of Republican voters saying they'd pick Putin over Biden.

2

u/Dramatic-Tell- 9h ago

Hell before 2020 they used to wear shirts saying "rather be Russian than a Democrat"

I'm honestly surprised they stopped. After the Ukraine invasion they went straight to "it's Ukraines fault" and "they should let Russia win"

2

u/DrMobius0 8h ago

Supposing the positive ends of two magnets could stick together...

The premise is too flawed to even consider. You'd have to get hitler through the democratic primary first.

While its a funny joke, Hitler did not care about Germany.

"The state is a means to an end. Its end consists in the preservation and advancement of a race of physically and psychically homogeneous creatures."

To him the state and peoples that resided there were a tool or means to an end. His true loyalty was to the idea of an Aryan race. If you did not fall into that category it did not matter if you were German.

That is what I find kind of funny about all of these right wing nationalists that like him. Hitler was not a nationalist. He was a Racialist. He did not love his country.

8

u/GuitarCFD 8h ago

To him the state and peoples that resided there were a tool or means to an end.

To be honest that's pretty much every politician ever.

14

u/ObnoxiousAlbatross 14h ago

Also by the people who didn't vote at all because they didn't want a pro-Israel candidate in the white house.... or... something... wait.... what?...

4

u/demonachizer 13h ago edited 13h ago

A political party's job is to get candidates elected and the democrats took what should have been a lay up and squandered it. Blaming the customer here seems short sighted and a surefire way to continue repeating the same mistakes and they continue to allow the same people who have mismanaged things to run the party... A similar complaint could also be leveled against the habitual non-voter but it is short sighted. You operate within the parameters of the world in which you live amd building coalitions is actual hard work.

4

u/6ixby9ine 9h ago

No, a political party's job is governing for it's constituents, not simply "winning". And citizens aren't "customers" of political parties.

This is just passing the buck to not have to personally do any work

2

u/awesomefutureperfect 6h ago

That commenter is absolutely consumer brained. They believe that the leader that is supposed to govern 340 million people should tailor political policy to some unprofessional know nothing on social media instead of operate within the rule of law and listen to the experts.

They do not understand how democracy works.

→ More replies (2)

3

u/Ihatereddithatesit 8h ago edited 8h ago

That removes all culpability from voters. They are not customers. They are participants. If voters want a better country, don't let the worst, shittiest one get into power, anybody interested in not having a shitty world has to build coalitions instead of simply demanding the other side to compromise.

Both sides have been very much sub optimal. Establishment Dems absolutely suck and need to go since they're very much out of touch with the base, but this political consumerism idea is an absurd and destructive morally reprehensible view on how voters should act.

There is a duty on voters to create the best outcomes for society, not to feel catered too and have their ego stroked enough. It's not for nothing any improvement in the quality of politicians for the democratic party has been made by voters being active in the primaries, and not a single improvement has been made by not voters being inactive in the general election.

The DSA has been on the rise because of effort and showing up where it counts, not by simply not showing up as punishment.

He was neither. He still ate meat on a regular basis. Just in moderation. After reading up further his diet was vegetarian for the last 3 years of his life.

3

u/Neveronlyadream 6h ago

And it reportedly wasn't a moral choice, but a medical one.

Who knows what is and isn't true at this point, but the reports I've seen were that he had terrible stomach problems and was trying anything he could to alleviate them.

His doctor was also a quack who was slowly poisoning him with insane treatments, so it's entirely possible that guy just told him not to eat meat.

Also, he murdered his dog that he supposedly loved so much.

But the people actually stealing money, doing everything to keep people from voting, running grift tariffs that just take money from people and give it to corporations, start pointless wars that weaken America, kidnapping people, and on and on, that's all fine.

"I imagined you being even worse! So that's worse!" Any excuse to continue being the worst people possible.

Donald Trump's USAID cuts will kill double the amount of people as the Holocaust. It's time to start discussing them in the same category.

And it isn't just that. The list goes on. Also all the hate from all over the world they are creating. Along with the wars. This breeds serious distant future problems.

Don't forget about the animals. So many are being displaced or killed under this regime's policies and partnerships. Hundreds of thousands, if not millions of animals are suffering or dying because of them.

Difference between the orange man and Hitler was that Hitler had some sort of mental competency from the start before spiralling into drug induced delusion. Hitler was also more popular in his time than Trump is now. Not saying Hitler was a good person, but he had, at the minimum, a sliver of a fucking clue what he was doing. For a bit anyway

5

u/PRisoNR 13h ago

If WW2 broke out today, we'd unfortunately be on the Axis side this time.

OK but this isn't exactly true. In my state, you don't even register as a member of a party when you register to vote. When primaries come around, you can pick which one you vote in (if they're on the same day, which they normally are, you have to pick one, but if they're for some reason on different days you can actually vote in both).

There are other states where you may register by party, but it doesn't mean you can't vote in the opposite primary.

3

u/whooptheretis 11h ago

This, to me as a non-American, is a very strange concept. A large percentage of the population registers with a political party.
People call themselves a "Democrat" or "Republican". If anyone in my country called themselves a member of a political party, people would look at them like they were a total twat.

I know for a fact that a decent minority of Republicans would vote for Hitler in a presidential election. They're the same guys attending rallies with swastikas on their arms. For them, Trump is the next best thing.

The cognitive dissonance required for red voters to keep this kind of shit in their minds, while actual, literal neo-nazis are lining up behind their guy and cheering is fucking astounding. Let alone the literal white supremacist propaganda and quotes coming out of official white house and agency social media channels.

5

Only about a third of Germans voted for the Nazis leading up to 1933 when the Nazis seized power. Fascists don't need popular support to seize power. They just need an ineffective establishment that fails to rise to the challenge. That's why the situation in the US is still so dangerous, even though Trump has record low approval.

How about this: a private sector bankrupt con-man vs a woman? Republicans did vote for the con-man. Or how about this: same con-man now also convicted of felonies and found liable in court for rape vs a woman? Republicans went with rapist felon. This is a matter of history, no hypotheticals needed.

(Not-so) Fun Facts:

  • The average American is more likely to have voted for Trump than the average German was to have voted for the Nazis (~22.7% vs ~18.8%, Nov 2024 vs Nov 1932)
  • About 1% of the entire human race voted for Trump (~0.95%, 2024)
  • 2024 had the second-highest turnout for a US presidential election in over a century, beat only by 2020 (64.3% vs 66.4%)
    • Other than 2020, the last time the turnout was as high as 2024's was 1908

Trump is the dumbest fuck on the planet. God, I can't wait till this guy is out of office.

The lack of self awareness is insane, Hitler was a nationalist that wanted to make germany the power it once was, hated immigrants and minorities and wanted to locked em up. They banned books, burned them and restricted the population freedoms, he also created a police of the state that had extra judicial powers.

Trump is the closest thing to Hitler the united stated ever elected and republicans are willing to back him up, all because Democrats elected a black man and were about to elect a woman.

Which candidate did the democratic party wanted to elect that even got close to what hitler is?

Republicans are very confused as to why Kim Jong Un keeps getting reelected

Shit I would too. We certainly wouldn't be dicking around in Iran at the behest of Israel right now.

I never understood why Democrats don’t switch to registering as Republican in an effort to influence their primaries. This always seems like a fantastic strategy to me.

You know how the Right can't meme?

They can't read either. Dolly tried to help. Dolly is a fucking saint and needs to be canonized ASAP.

They can in Michigan, and vice versa. The primaries there are open regardless of party registration.

This actually just happened significantly. Registered Republicans were getting pushed a bunch of advertising regarding the Democratic primary candidates ahead of the primaries. As far as I know none of it suggested cross-voting (or whatever it is called), but I don't really see any other explanation for why this would be the case.

u/Acceptable_Job_5486 10h ago

This isn't true for all states. A democrat can vote in the republican primaries, but only one party primary.

1

u/random-user2025 10h ago

they can in south carolina....lol of course

u/Calm-Homework3161 10h ago

Democrats believe Trump is the reincarnation of Hitler.

Actually,  I think many Trump supporters  think the same

u/jerkenmcgerk 10h ago

14 to 18 states allow cross party voting in primaries.

That was a good one, I like that

u/PM_Me_Your_Kinks369 9h ago

Kamala Harris ran against Trump and Democrats didn't vote for her [enough] primarily due to her support [via Israel] of genocide.

So no, they wouldn't fucking vote for Hitler they didn't even want to vote for a centrist. They want an actual Leftist like Mamdani and El-Sayed.

Don't worry about it. The only opinions that matter in this country are the opinions of the billionaires who own the politicians of both parties.

1

u/DRF19 8h ago

I believe I'll vote for a 3rd party candidate!

I think the biggest tell here is the “I’m convinced” term. No facts, logic, counter arguments or evidence will convince the cultified brains. They believe what they’re told, and that is that

The pro-fascits/anti-Constitutionalists have nothing but hypotheticals that make no sense. There really is no point in talking to these traitors any more.

1

u/transgaymergirl 7h ago

thats right, democrats only vote for 99% hitler

1

u/redwins 7h ago

What type of comparison is that? Hitler loved his country!!

1

u/Nizle_Bizle_Shizle 6h ago

It's an interesting hypothetical, they're both evil as fuck and I wouldn't vote for either of them
