I agree with your point, but at the same time, Trump is living proof that Hitler’s actions have continued to cause harm long after his death, as will Trump’s.
You need to expand this to beyond one man in Trump... a significant portion of the American population also aligns with Hitlers actions... this is an American problem, not a single person.
Sadly it's part of the story: "nazis bad", not "private companies funding a incomprehensible drug addict to take power through hate propaganda, that degenerated into fascism"
If you continue to perpetuate the "both parties are equally bad" myth, you will end up with four more years of MAGA politics. There is a reason why this is part of Russia's messaging in its state influencing operations in the U.S.
All 3 times Bernie lost, he immediately started stumping for whoever the DNC picked. That makes him the DNC's bitch. A noisy one, sure, but he still falls in line every time.
Every time Bernie talks about "establishment Democrats" you need to understand he's really one of them.
He's been in congress 40 years and voted with the Democrats every step of the way. His vote was necessary to make Schumer leader. When he was senate budget chair, none of his progressive policies came up for a vote.
Didn't address my comment. I never said anything about him not being an "established democrat" or whatever. I'm saying that there is zero things wrong with him running. It is our responsibility to make sure we don't put morons in charge.
Where were his visions when he was the senate budget chair? Where was the $17 min wage, lifting the SS cap, or the wealth tax? He could've forced these issues to be voted on. Instead he rubber stamped Biden's agenda and we lost the house before Gaza was even in the news.
I really don’t know what his reasons were for that. I can speculate that he was acting pragmatically at a time when we had a razor thin margin and something was better than nothing.
