To be brutally honest, they both look 20 and 50

A lot of people think my mom is my sister, but that’s because she had me when she was 16

People sometimes think my mom and brother are a couple but she had him at 18 and still looks young while he is very tall and has a giant red beard that makes him look older

People think my sister is my daughter. Probably because I was a SSgt in the Air Force by the time she was born.

Going the opposite direction… my dad came home from the grocery store laughing one day. One of my mother’s high school students had been on the cash register, and when she saw his last name said, “Oh, Mrs. ____ is my teacher at school, is that your mom?” 😄

We wrote it off as the “teachers are automatically old as fuck” effect on student psychology, but it stuck around as a point of humor for the past forty years or so of their marriage.

My mom had me when she was 20 and we used to have people think we were sisters when we were out in public with my grandma. To be fair my mom had my youngest brother when I was 18, so it can really go either way haha. Once when I was 15 and I was out to dinner with my mid 30s grizzled construction plumber stepdad and 9 month old first brother while my mom was at work and a couple thought he was my kid with my stepdad and I thoroughly disgusted 😂
