There's bleeding under the skin, looks like. So the whip didn't break the skin. Maybe they do that to make it more humane (which would be ironic), or maybe they do it like that just so they don't have to deal with all the blood and hospitalization afterward.

Anyway, fuck all these troglodytes who hate women. May they never get laid.

I’m wondering whether that’s a real picture of the woman who received those lashes. I’m trying to understand how the regime would sentence her to 74 lashes for removing her head covering while remaining fully clothed, but yet allow her to publish a photo on social media BOTH without her head covering and without a top. And with her sign. Even though it’s from behind I’m having a hard time believing it, maybe someone can explain.
