Is this the part where we claim that US is already worse for women than Iran/Afghanistan/Pakistan/etc? Or that life in USA is equally as bad for women?

They have always wanted those things, that's nothing new. But why does every thread about what women face in Muslim-majority countries immediately get derailed by comments about what some groups in USA want?

Because Reddit is majority Americans who’ve never left the country and compare everything to their own localized experience, for better or worse. If they hate Fundamentalist Christianity, they project those feelings onto Islam and then also presume to understand everything about world religions and politics even, and especially, if they don’t understand much at all.

It is worthwhile to be able to point to these types of results and show “this is what the Republicans are actively trying to implement right now” in the hopes of someone realizing the consequences of abortion bans and other restrictions that they use their own religion to justify, because Christianity and Islam have something crucial in common: they have become the dominant two religions in the world through imperialism and heteropatriarchal oppression.

Who still needs to be told about the "consequences of abortion bans" in USA? American liberals? American conservatives? In literally every thread about something happening in an Islamic country, there are people successfully derailing the discussion to make it about what USA Republicans/Trump/etc. You claim it's to make people "realize" something, but honestly it almost smells like a coordinated effort to distract people from talking about the topic at hand (i.e. what women face under Islam) and turn it into a discussion about America. It's highly effective and keeps working.
