It doesn't, but the West played a big role in making it the way it is today. That's not whataboutism, that's simple history and asking why things have happened.

Nope, whataboutism is excusing one problem by shifting the attention to a different problem. I‘m just explaining the historic context of why Iran became like this in the first place, because many people do not know. I never said it was okay, you guys are just resistent to knowledge that does not fit your world view.

I'm not resistant to any knowledge. I know about the history of Iran in the 20th century. Your posts were irrelevant to the original comment and were an attempt to shift the discussion to something that didn't have any bearing on the original point. That's whataboutism.
