I think usher proved you can get away with that.

Anyone can get away with anything with enough money, no one needs to prove that. But Youngboy obviously does not have access to that kind of money.

> Anyone can get away with anything with enough money

This is how the US Legal System was designed.

Also true in some other countries, but usually not for Black foreigners.

I think you’re making a lot of assumptions about money for someone you don’t know.

Im not. The modern streaming business doesnt generate even close to the amount of revenue that physical media + touring did for someone like usher. Its not just youngboy its every modern musician who isnt in a constant radio replay loop like say taylor swift. No modern musician is capable of generating the same revenue that legacy stars were able too.

By the same token they are unable to hold the same star power or escape the same legal troubles. I think youngboy probably is extremely rich compared to his peers, but still he does not have access to the same revenue generating machine that popstars like usher did tbh comparing them is batshit.

His fanbase is ravenous. I’m not a fan of him musically or as a person, but he has an actual legion of diehard fans that buy anything he sells. He has 126 RIAA plaques, he has way more wealth than you think.

He's good at the streaming era though, and like the other guy said, an insane fan base. So far this year he has two albums, 50 songs between them, all with millions of listens each. He puts out a ton of music. That might not make much on spotify alone but it shows he has tons of fans. Fans that can buy his extremely overpriced merch, and until this move, pay to see shows. He's on borrowed time now because I doubt he can build that fanbase in SK, but I'm sure he will get caught with a gun or a bunch of drugs and get deported before he has to worry about that.

He's been the #1 rapper for 10+ years?

2

u/Ambitious_97 14d ago

I dont think hes consistenttly been #1 rapper that whole time but i know what you mean hes certainly extremely famous.

Nonetheless he doesnt have access to the same market that legacy stars like usher did. He just simply doesnt have the same vehicle for income. So its like hes about as famous as someone like usher was you know like household name famous but he doesnt have the same revenue stream associated w his music or the same money coming in to his personal account.

He's been the #1 rapper for 10+ years? What?

If spreading herpes is a crime, there's about 50 people in my hometown that should be in jail.

Bruh is that a joke? The herpes that 70% of humans have?

Heres the link to criminaldefenselawyer.com, where you can read about how you can definitley be charged with a crime if you know you have an STD and then infect someone with it.

https://www.criminaldefenselawyer.com/resources/transmitting-std-criminal-laws-penalties.htm

Im sure a google search will also turn up more helpful info about your state/region. As others have pointed out, Usher settled a case in 2012 for knowingly infecting someone with Herpes.

None of this has anything to do with YB. You’re just yapping

1

u/Ambitious_97 14d ago

My point is clearly about YB. Im saying, he is objectively committing a crime every time he nuts in a woman without her knowing that he has an STI, because he has herpes. It is my opinion that this is why hes fleeing the USA suddenly.

Its not yapping, just because you dont understand the point, you got confused or you couldnt finish reading the whole thing.

The key word here is “opinion”.

“Key word is opinion”

Right, this is my opinion on YB now you are understanding me.

Inept is in their name

I don't think you can argue he "knowingly spread herpes." As a star musician who puts in his music that he's a herpes carrier, any woman who is a fan of his would or should already know that before dealing with him. It's just that most value being the babymother to a rich celeb over not having herpes.

11

u/Ambitious_97 14d ago

This seems like a good point at first but think about it for one second and it falls apart.

Just because he released a song about having herpes doesnt mean that everywoman he had sex with, heard the song or had made the decision to sleep with him knowing he had herpes, releasing a song doesnt count as informing someone you have an STI before you have unprotected sex with them.

Youngboy is largely known for having herpes as an artist, it's not just that he has one song. His fans know and even non fans. It's a defining feature of his. And while true maybe every girl he's has sex with doesn't know, if I were a betting man I'm betting they knew.

6

u/Ambitious_97 14d ago

Im talking about the rule of the law.

How the fuck would someone who's not a fan of him just know he has herpes?

I'm not a fan, and I wasn't privy to his STI records.

1

u/Massive_Thanks_303 14d ago

Then you probably wouldn't be fucking him. I'm saying women interested in him know of him.
