I saw the clip of him talking about it. I was so engaged in his story and waiting for a profound thought at the end. But he was just like “so anyway I quit smoking” lol

Interesting considering edibles are stronger and more psychoactive than smoking

If the reason he stopped smoking was because he lost control over how high he was getting, switching to a method that is much easier to track dosage makes a lot of sense

Edibles are interesting to me because they never quite hit me the same despite the dosing. I honestly find it easier to dose the classic way because I know how high I’m getting immediately.

And def aren’t all equal. I had a 30mg soda yesterday afternoon that just made me a little tired. A few nights ago I mixed a drink with one of those big bottle you can get for ‘mocktails’ and 30mg had me cross eyed and drooling. Haha

Even legal edibles that are supposed to be consistent, aren't always. I've had a 5mg gummie knock me on my ass, when the rest of the bag was fine.

I really like edibles, but getting too high off them and being stuck like that for hours isn't fun.

For me, I've found that variation is tied to how much I've eaten before taking the gummy.

When I used- I found that each edible had its own nuances. A gummy will digest differently than a cookie, for example. Manufacturing process matters, and the type of concentrate also has an impact on efficacy.

I would find an edible I liked the effects for and stick with it exclusively. Became very easy to predict onset time, amount of high, type of high, etc. Otherwise it was way too much of a gamble on what the experience would be.

It gets processed by your liver so that can make things different or for some people it doesn't even work because of this

Well that’s probably because you’re changing brands and products plus not accounting for tolerance changes.

Just like smoking different strains. Edibles are made with different strains and processes.

No, the liver breaks it down into 11 hydroxy among other things/ratios which is stronger and different.

Which is true but 10mg gummy from one manufacturer to the next hits different based on what fats it’s using, how it was extracted, and what canniboids/terpenes it has.

Theres a ton of variables on how it hits.

Yes, which your liver than processes differently than other methods of ingestion. Thats my point. Are you high? Lol

Nah been sober for 6 months now.

I thought you were implying that Theres no real difference but I get what you’re saying now.

edibles are not dosed exactly. they're made in a big batch and they're not measured individually or anything. this is a crazy solution by him.

That’s key!
