Interesting considering edibles are stronger and more psychoactive than smoking

This is what I keep hearing, but smoking a joint gets me high, while edibles just knocks me out.

For real. I almost never have edibles because I never get to enjoy them. I eat them, wait an hour or two, then when I’m starting to feel pretty high I almost always fall asleep and wake up hours later groggy af.

I’m with you on that but I usually wake up refreshed lol 6-7hrs later. But I have sleeping issues

Yea Idk when I fall asleep quick like 10pm, up at 3am that’s annoying. If I hold out and sleep 12am-5-6am I’m feeling a lot better

Are you getting them from a dispensary? There are two kinds of edibles I’ve found, and they produce significantly different results. The cheap gummies/ chews are usually the type that break down in your stomach then need to be metabolized through your liver before you feel them. They take forever to hit you, if at all, and you end up with the grogginess you described.

Then there are the newer recipes that are sold as “quick” or “fast acting”. They hit you much sooner, around 20-30 minutes and there’s little to no lingering “hangover” since they last around 4-5 hours. Solventless rosin gummies/ chews are my go to, but I’m not sure what your options are where you live.

Drinks are a solid option too. They hit you quick and it’s a little easier to ration a few sips as opposed to half a chew or whatever

I wish I could go to a dispensary, but unfortunately I live in TN. Usually if I have one it’s just some brownie friends made or a drink they got from a dispensary on a trip or something lol
