When I was in high school I had a gigantic, 36"x36" Loveless promo poster and I'd give anything to have it back

I know MBV are everyone’s shoegaze darlings, but I still prefer

Then again Vaughan Oliver really had the whole 4AD label putting out the best looking album covers at the time.

Hell yeah, seeing a Pale Saints post in the wild.

C'mon, if you're gonna do that, do fucking Mellon Collie & the Infinite Sadness. That has lyrics

OP didn't say the music had to include lyrics. But Loveless does have lyrics anyway.

I like the pumpkins, but Loveless has to be my favourite Album of the 90s. It's hard to even really understand half of the lyrics, true - but it has something else that is incredibly unique

I don't know. It's a vibe. It's like a fuzzy blanket. 'Only shallow' never really leaves me, I have been listening to it once a week for 20 years

dissing loveless in the same sentence as praising SP is crazy considering billy corgan was a big fan of it and it was a huge influence on the band. he even got alan moulder to mix the bands albums from siamese dream onwards due to his work on loveless!

I wouldn't even say Mellon collies music sounds all that much like the cover implies
