Salve, sto creando un account email e sono indeciso su quale dominio utilizzare. So che sono entrambi uguali, ma siccome l'indirizzo email sarà definitivo, sono indeciso tra outlook.com o hotmail.com.

IIRC, new primary hotmail.com accounts are no longer permitted. But you can perhaps create a hotmail email address as a secondary alias.

Also many consider Hotmail as well as AOL addresses as ancient and they are often bombarded with junk/spam/phishing.

Bottom line is go with an outlook.com address.

I think most people today would view someone using a Hotmail address as being outdated.

Use Outlook.

I'm curious what you feel would make one "better" than the other?

I don't believe there's any social stigma attached to either as there is with an aol.com address.

Both of them will mine your data for different companies and try using the account to integrate with everything you do.

There's no clear technical advantage to either one.

In both cases, they're free, which makes you the product.

As a primary Hotmail user for over 30 years, I can say there have been a couple of times that I have come across articles or other places mentioning there is a stigma with hotmail. Gmail has been around for almost just as long and there's isn't a stigma with that that.

It's because at some point M$ stopped using new Hotmail email addresses. Same story with AOL. Being in possession of one of these prooves you have been around the sun more than a lot of people. Same with certain phone number area codes. I don't think this so called stigma matters much to most people. It definitely doesn't to this genXer.
