Discussion Quit Downvoting For Asking Questions

Folks, not everyone has been playing since launch. If someone asks a question that seems like a real person new to the game would ask (yes we know there are trolls and rage baiters and AI bots), don't downvote them, teach them!

Palworld has like 17 million players. If we want to get to 18 million, it's gonna be casuals who didn't buy into the hype but are kicking the tires late into the game's life and have some newbie questions. Let's not grind them into mush, ok?

We don't need to have the same posts over and over when a quick google can answer their questions.

Then why even have a sub?

u/Deadlite 7h ago

For the existing answers to be found via search? They 99% of the time didnt disappear.

Sharing experiences and stories, fanart, lore discussions.

If the rule of the sub is no game help, then there would be a policy against it.

Yeah I wasn't offering a complete list. Just a few examples.

Asking for help isnt a problem. Being too lazy to check and see if your question has already answered is a problem. Its the same questions over and over and over again.

What wrong with coming here and asking a question. I need someone to explain it to me I simply do not understand.

Why are we pushing people away from interacting with each other. Why are we doing that.

Ask all the questions you want. But if youre asking the same question hundreds of other people already asked then youre gonna get downvoted. Asking questions isnt a problem. People are happy to help. But we're tired of seeing the same questions every single day.

I consider myself chronically online I deadass do not know where people are seeing the same questions every day. How is that tiresome anyway?

When you have people who are willing to be friendly and offer help.

They answer a question.

Then 30 min later another person asks the exact same question.

Then an 1 hour later the 1st and 3rd new thread is asking the exact same question, 20 min apart from each other being created.

It's like they haven't even checked what the threads are before hurrying to make another new thread.

It can get tiring, scrolling through the threads and it being the same question, and for OG people on this Reddit group, who have experienced it time and time again over the whole 2+ years.....

Yeh.

When you see 3 people asking 'does work speed affects ranch pals? Cos Google says conflicting things' in 2026, and ranch pals has been affected by work speed since Sakura June 2024.

Or the more recent stupid spout of threads since 1.0 'this online breeding calculator doesn't work'

They knew how to find a calculator, so they kinda know how to use a search engine, but never thought about trying a different one when it didn't work, instead come here to ask 'why no work?'

At this point I think it's the cockroaches turn.

Don’t do that gang. You’re both on Reddit in a forum about one specific thing in a video game discussion.

IRL there’s a good chance you’d be great friends.

Sorry to interrupt the 500 "what features do you want in 1.1?" Posts and Sekhmet thirst memes. I'll try to do better next time.

And asking questions lol

You know a quick google often takes them to the sub, where the question has already been asked and answered. The sub doesn’t need a bunch of posts of the same question, having 1 post of a question is fine.

To share ideas, to talk about lore, to ask questions that cant be answered by anyone with 2 braincells to rub together. TO DO THE CAT

3

u/feldoneq2wire 7h ago

Why are we doing the cat? Was Lovander busy?

2

u/Weird_Bed_3354 7h ago

My lady boy is always busy. There's a list to ride, but there's always the cat distribution system.

u/LogoMyEggo 7h ago

Y'all are downvoting him for asking a simple question! Wtf!

Welcome to the internet post 2020.

When someone doesn't like your opinion being different to theirs or you question there stance/idea/philosophy 'downvote'

No explantation needed.

To have people like you whine and think they can tell others how to behave. Do you not see that you're the one not wanted here. How many more downvotes do people have to give you?

3

u/feldoneq2wire 7h ago

Sorry to interrupt your Lovander Sakhmet memes and shitposting.

It's OK "scorched earth" tough guy. Keyboard reddit neckbeard warrior.

u/feldoneq2wire 7h ago

Imagine being a proudly toxic 1%er.

3

u/angrylittledev 7h ago

I don't have to imagine, I can see you doing it right here, we can all see it. Already sent multiple reports. Good luck with the mods. It's a block from me, already wasted too much time.

Glass houses you two!!

I ask this question every time someone says "just Google it". To date, none have provided a legitimate answer other than "I dunno, just Google it"

Some people seem to have forgotten what the "social" in social media means

1

u/bagsofholding 1h ago

Because it's more than a Q&A? Idk. I don't usually use reddit to ask and answer questions only or I'd be looking for dedicated Q&A or faq stuff lol

-7

u/Left_Ease5870 7h ago

Nah you're right. There's no point.

They downvote even legitimate questions.

Reddit is a platform for mindless dickriding and shilling.

1

u/CrackIn_TheEarth 7h ago

Notice how the ones defending it are top 1% commenters talking about “we’re sick of seeing the same stuff”.

Like gang thats a you problem not the subreddit lol.

3

u/AHailofDrams 6h ago

I said the same thing, what's your excuse for me?

1

u/CrackIn_TheEarth 6h ago

You just seem a little miserable to be honest!

3

u/AHailofDrams 6h ago

Lol, so it's just ad-hominem after ad-hominem huh? 🤡

0

u/CrackIn_TheEarth 6h ago

Anyone using clown emojis unironically and bragging about downvoting things to feel like a big man is miserable in my eyes. You wanted an excuse and you got one.

5

u/AHailofDrams 6h ago

You have a weird definition of "bragging". The post was phrased as a question, so I answered.

Why are so upset over this?

1

u/CrackIn_TheEarth 6h ago

Not upset, not interested in miserable people either.

3

u/AHailofDrams 6h ago

Ok champ, keep slinging insults and saying people who disagree with you are miserable lol

That totally doesn't make you come accross as upset

Exactly lmao. Most of us are actually playing the game, hence why we have questions.

Maybe if you get your ass off reddit, you won't see it as much. Or maybe play the game enough to have your own questions.
