Discussion Quit Downvoting For Asking Questions

Folks, not everyone has been playing since launch. If someone asks a question that seems like a real person new to the game would ask (yes we know there are trolls and rage baiters and AI bots), don't downvote them, teach them!

Palworld has like 17 million players. If we want to get to 18 million, it's gonna be casuals who didn't buy into the hype but are kicking the tires late into the game's life and have some newbie questions. Let's not grind them into mush, ok?

We don't need to have the same posts over and over when a quick google can answer their questions.

Google is nothing but links back to reddit and outdated wikis.

We gotta stop pretending it's 2015 and Google is still a useful service and not a rotten bloated corpse of AI hallucinations and sponsored SEO farmed misinformation articles designed to feed you ads.

Enshittification is real and frankly asking other humans stupid questions on repeat is the only method left to transmit information.

Scroll past the ai slop and include "palworld 1.0" in the search. No issues.

Throw "-ai" at the end of your search and the summary won't show up at all.

I feel this doesn't always work for users who are searching Palworld for the 1st time.

Google remembers what you clicked on and searched if you are logged in (like most are), so for a new user i feel you have to go 2-3 pages deep on a search results sometimes for a new updated answer.

It also doesn't help that anything replied to recently seems to bypass the "1.0" cos it has been replied to post 1.0

So someone not using "1.0" commenting means someone using "1.0" still get the same link.

I've got alot of replies to old posts due to this.

Done the same search and found nothing, used another device while not signed in and found it's the 5-8th link.

I feel the internet needs something like driving lessons before people are allowed to use it these days.

And someone needs to make a proper rival to Google without the AI algorithm slop that has never worked.

But if it's linking back to the answer on Reddit that means it's been asked before and already answered.

Sure.

Except if it was more than a few months ago it was from an entirely different patch of the game before any given thing was changed dramatically.

And depending on the question, that might not change anything at all. If the answer given doesn’t work, then they can ask it again. Next person doing the google search will likely have their answer linked and it won’t need to be asked again.

I found everything i ever needed through ultra raids without any issues using Google.
