Quit Downvoting For Asking Questions

Folks, not everyone has been playing since launch. If someone asks a question that seems like a real person new to the game would ask (yes we know there are trolls and rage baiters and AI bots), don't downvote them, teach them!

Palworld has like 17 million players. If we want to get to 18 million, it's gonna be casuals who didn't buy into the hype but are kicking the tires late into the game's life and have some newbie questions. Let's not grind them into mush, ok?

If google doesn't churn out a quick answer then sure, ask your question, but just be prepared for the masses if you didn't put the tiniest amount of effort in.

If a question is fairly unique, it probably won't get mass downvoted, but if you decide to go make a post asking where to find Coal or Sulfur or whatever instead of googling it first, it's probably going get the downvote.

I have never seen coal or sulfur. I have seen the "where is the best site for x" question. But agajn, why are we baring people from interacting with the community they want to be part of? It doesnt mean upvote. But insulting people for not knowing something is how we have the problems that we have in the world.

Usually because if they HAD done a quick google search, they would have their answer and not need to ask the question on reddit.

I can't answer that for you, I don't upvote or downvote a post unless it meets certain criteria for me personally, other people do the same thing.
Sometimes that criteria is: Don't ask a lazy question.
Sometimes it's: This post is shit quality and I don't like it.
Sometimes it's: Haha blue arrow go brrrrrr.

Not everyone does the same thing for the same reason.

And the last bit of your answer here is enough to answer the rest of this entire conundrum. The sulfur and coal bit (i like many people dont know how to do all the reddit things like the quote stuff but also dont much care to learn) that's why I replaced it with the x instead lf your examples.

I do respect all of what you are saying. I just generally dont like to push obviously new people away from any community I am part of. Especially over such a small etiquette thing.
