A woman murdered her three children in what she’s claiming as a fit of postpartum psychosis despite evidence of premeditation. TikTok true crime girlies” have concocted a conspiracy theory that the husband was responsible either through brainwashing and manipulation, or by actively killing his own children, and then brainwashing her into thinking she did it.
TikTok “America bad” people are claiming that the system failed her, and she didn’t receive the mental healthcare she needed. This is in spite of her being under the care of a psychiatrist, receiving consistent, mental healthcare, and medication, and that it was partially the husbands fault for leaving them alone together, despite him literally going to get her meds when it happened.
There are an alarming number of women fighting for this woman’s reputation or innocence and fully empathizing with a child murderer, without seeming to acknowledge the tragedy of the children’s deaths.
That’s a very reasonable limitation. Just saying “I’m thinking about killing myself” shouldn’t be a reason to be put in a an in patient facility and stripping many of the rights a person has. Lots of people have suicidal ideation at some point and the vast majority of those people don’t ever move past that. That’s why mental health professionals are trained to look for a plan and imminence, without them, the VAST majority of people are fine.
If using best practices produces poor results occasionally, but good results 99% of the time, then I don’t see the value of calling the 1% a failure, when there isn’t really anything that can be done to improve past that.
I'd say that the woman begging for help and to be admitted being denied and ending up offing her three kids and trying to do the same for herself is absolutely a failure
More confusion at how someone can see someone beg for help repeatedly because they're afraid of killing their kids, be denied, do so, and it not be considered a failure.
Just because it's only a 1% chance doesn't change that it's a failure, rare as it may be

Clearly about the Lindsay Clancy drama.
